Renewable Energy to Power Wastewater Treatment
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held today at the new Cogeneration and FOG (fats, oils, and grease) facility at the El Estero Wastewater Treatment Plant. The system will provide most of El Estero's power needs using renewable methane generated by the plant, enough electricity to power over 700 homes. Intermittent Closures at Library Garage for Painting
Beginning this week, the City will paint the interior of the Library Garage. The project will be finished in mid-May. Intermittent garage closures will be required.

Water Pipe Flushing Removes Buildup
 The City will be flushing the water main pipes over the next eight weeks. The flushing will occur overnight, Monday through Thursday. The process removes any undesired buildup in the system.
