LuncheonAugust Breakfast Meeting: Bring your CEO, Executive Director, and/or Board President to Breakfast
Speaker: Janice Gow Pettey
Thursday, August 4, 2016 // 7:30a - 9:00a
Tulsa Garden Center

Janice will lead an interactive discussion on the topic "How's Your Ethical Vision?", where she will share how an organization cannot consider the depth of engaging a culturally diverse population in its fundraising practice without also considering the ethical dimensions of such a move. Bring your leadership and colleagues to this thought-provoking breakfast to be inspired and engaged in this high-level conversation about how we serve who we serve, and why it matters.

PresidentLetterLetter from the President
If you were to leave your current position tomorrow, do you know what legacy you'd leave behind? What would you be remembered for, lauded for... blamed for? What from your tenure would stick with your organization's fundraising operations and culture, and what practices and policies for which you were known would erode with your absence?

Beyond all the manuals, written policies and internal controls your organization may have, the real answer to these questions depends on the people you leave behind to continue the good fight. Do those you work alongside share your passion for the fundraising mission? Do they share your fundraising vision and your values? The people you've coached, mentored and trained - and even your peers - have they embraced and embedded into the culture those things which are really most important for your organization's fundraising efforts to succeed? Even if you plan to stay put a while, have your prepared yourself, your boss, your board and your colleagues for the time when you won't be there to shoulder the load by assuring they know the plan and what it takes to get there?
