Creative Brief
2013-2014 President's Message

November...the gateway to the holiday season.  To start it off, we are pleased to be able to give you an early present and announce that due to the ongoing support of our membership, sponsors and volunteers we are able to provide top-notch Chapter meetings to our membership at no cost.  We will also continue to hold other special events that are worthy of your time that will carry only minimal costs to our membership, such as the Fresh Elements Trade Show.  We continue to listen...

So this Thursday, November 14th, please join us at the Global Elements and Charles Glover Interiors and 'step outside of the box' with us to investigate how everyday elements that we often take for granted can be used as art and enhance our designs and surroundings.  You will not want to miss this rare opportunity to see a mobile glass-blowing studio and marvel at the creations of Circle 6 Studios.

We look forward to seeing you next month at our Holiday Celebration and to kicking off January with a spectacular Trends event.

And as we head into the season of giving thanks, stop for a minute to realize how blessed we are.  We're blessed that we live in one of the most diverse and tantalizing environments on earth, blessed to have such an active, passionate and talented design community, and even more blessed to have chosen a profession that keeps us dreaming.

Sweet Dreams,

Gretchen Palmer, Allied ASID

HOME TOUR 2014                     R3:Remodel-Refresh-Renew
Do you have a project in the Arcadia area of Phoenix that you would like to highlight in our Home Tour?
The Home Tour is planned for mid-March, 2014.
Our theme this year is R3 - Remodel, Refresh, Renew.
We are looking for remodeling projects in the area of Camelback to Indian School and 40th Street to Scottsdale Road.  Keeping the homes in a limited geographical area makes it easier for touring.
We would like 6 or 7 homes; some large projects, some small.  Remodeling with Re-purpose is a plus!
If you want to submit a project for consideration or work on the committee for this exciting event, please contact Jewell Blair at askthedesigner@live.com or (623) 217-0304.
More information will be made available in the next few months.
Phoenix Home & Garden

Chock full of decorating ideas, the December issue of Phoenix Home & Garden features a home decorated by Sue Calvin, Allied ASID, of Wiseman & Gale Interiors, along with designer trees from the 2012 Festival of Trees at Montelucia Resort. Adding to the holiday spirit, our food feature focuses on cookie recipes; Trend Watch proves the popularity of animal horns in home decor; and Savvy Shopper puts the spotlight on snow globes. We also include a pictorial showcasing a mix-and-match approach to table settings. Enjoy it all in the December issue!
