Dean's Update: Learning in a World of Constant Change 

Last month, I was invited to speak to a gathering of Drexel donors at the close of their luncheon. The audience included a mix of generations - mostly alumni - who I challenged to question what they valued from their university experience that inspired a habit of giving thanks. The luncheon was for many of Drexel's most dedicated donors - giving regularly for numerous years, or planning to donate through their estate. 

My story highlights the value of an engaging education that prepared me to become an intentional life-long learner with a capacity to address constant change.

Once installed and synchronized with the Libraries' licensed e-journals, users can browse journals by title and/or subject, select titles to review at their leisure, place articles on customized virtual bookshelves and set alerts to identify when new issues are available. The app also provides a table of contents that links to individual articles that can be saved onto a device for later reading - or transferred to another management tool.
Civil Rights Exhibit at W. W. Hagerty Library Highlights Youth's Role
Just in time for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a new exhibit focusing on the role of youth in the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s opened at W.W. Hagerty Library.
Developed by students of V.P. Franklin, a former Drexel professor now holding a presidential chair and serving as distinguished professor of history and education at the University of California, Riverside, the exhibit has traveled the country. It will be at Drexel until Feb. 13.
