LIBRARIES EXPANDS ACCESS TO HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW ARTICLES TO INCLUDE COURSE USE  

Drexel faculty may now assign Harvard Business Review [HBR] articles in courses, including placing articles on reserve, posting them to course management shells, and adding them to course packs, as the result of a new licensing agreement acquired by the Libraries. More >>>

LIBRARIES UNVEILS NEW ONLINE TOOL TO ORGANIZE WORKSHOPS  

In September, the Libraries unveiled a new online tool that allows visitors to view upcoming workshops while sorting by location, type or co-sponsor. The Libraries currently has over a dozen workshops available to all members of the Drexel community. View the tool >>> 

  

INPUT TO IMPLEMENTATION: ARES COURSE RESERVES PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS
Course reserves are now integrated into the Blackboard Learn course management system providing a single access point for course related materials. This change is the result of a new module, Ares, that the Libraries' acquired and began using in fall 2012. More>>>

LIBRARIES DEVELOPS "TALE OF THE DRAGON' ORAL HISTORIES  
 
The Libraries launched an oral histories program to build audio records for the University Archives. It has acquired a computer, professional grade microphones, audio software and a large sound booth [donated by Westphal College], all of which are located in the W.W. Hagerty Library. More >>>

 

LIBRARIES OFFERS NEW INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMMING FOR THE STAR SCHOLARS
Over the summer, sixty rising sophomores in the STAR Scholars Program participated in a four-week instructional series led by Nancy Bellafante, Librarian for Undergraduate Learning. More>>> 

FULLBRIGHT PRE-ACADEMIC TRAINING PROGRAM

Larry Milliken, Liaison Librarian for Humanities and Social Sciences, presented a research instruction workshop this summer to the 33 participants in this year's Fulbright Pre-Academic Training Program.More>>>
