Election day is upon us. On Tuesday, November 6th most registered voters will travel to their assigned precinct center and cast their ballots. Some of us though, have already voted. If you are a full time RVer or a snowbird, chances are you have already received and completed your absentee ballot.

You fulltimers probably have a permanent mailing address assigned to you by your mail forwarding service. If so, you will receive a ballot that likely includes local election choices, even though you are not familiar with that localities politics or government.

Whether you're voting at home or on the road, I hope you have done your research and have or will cast your ballots using your conscience as your guide.

Last month I wanted to demonstrate an easy way to find wall studs on a recreational vehicle with fiberglass walls and aluminum framing. Unfortunately, the photos I was referring to were omitted from the Digest. So, I'm repeating the topic this month with the images.

The trick to finding the studs is to look at the sidewalls on a cool morning. You will notice the dew doesn't collect where framing is located.

I have taken photos of various coaches on the yard to show what to look for. This can come in handy when adding accessories to the sidewall of your RV such as an exterior TV bracket (needing to secure to a frame) or a light (routing wiring through the wall.)

Most RV's contain thousands of dollars of sensitive electrical equipment, yet RVers routinely put them at risk by connecting them to unknown and untested power sources.

Progressive Industries has been the RV industry standard in surge protection since they introduced their first models more than 12 years ago.

If you have a 30 amp coach then the Smart Surge 120V/30A is for you. It provides 3- Mode, 825 joules and 22,500 amp surge current rating. The built in surge status indicator tells user surge protector is functioning properly. The integrated circuit tester checks for: Reverse Polarity, Open Neutral and Open Ground prior to use.

If your RV requires a 50 amp connection then the Smart Surge 240V/50A provides 5-mode, 1650 joules, and 45,000 amp surge current rating. The built in surge status indicator notes the condition of the surge protector.

Additionally, the dual line circuit tester checks for: Reverse Polarity, Open Neutral and Open Ground prior to use. Sleek, compact, portable design makes it easy to use.

No installation required. Both models are designed for outdoor use. Sleek, compact, portable design makes it easy to use.

We have these surge protectors in stock. Come on in and take a look.
