Dare to Compare: Evaluating Your
Health Insurance Options

retirees evaluate choices When it comes to staying well and preserving your financial security, health insurance is one of the most important purchases you will make this year. So how much time will you spend researching options and comparing choices?

The answer may be a lot less than you should. One study in 2009 found that while Americans spend an average of four hours researching a computer purchase and five researching a vacation, nearly half of respondents said they spend less than 30 minutes researching their health insurance plan during open enrollment.

Don't shortchange an important decision. Click here for some tips and ideas on how you can make the most of Open Enrollment and stretch your health care dollars.
