Dear (Contact First Name),

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I absolutely LOVE this time of year - and having a 2 and 3 year old at home - it's even more exciting!! The best part is being able to share with my two little boys the news of Christ's birth and knowing that this is the FIRST TIME they are hearing the 'good news'.

That's how it should be for all of us, in every situation. We need to be excited about the truth of Christ's birth and be filled with joy when we get to share it - maybe to someone for the first time!!!

Christmas gives us so many creative opportunities to share the gospel - I pray you have used them to their fullest! And here are ways to do it!

Do you like this graphic? You can get that image along with MUCH more at tsamtk.org, click the address and check it out!!!!

God Bless you and your ministry during this busy and thrilling season!
Merry Christmas

HOUSTON NORTHWEST CORPS
!!BRAVO!!

On Saturday November 10 2012 the Houston Northwest Corps of the great Texas Division celebrated its 10th Anniversary in a unique way.  A dinner theater production took place in which 17 members of the Corps and staff presented "Fighting On".

Fighting On is a play about The Salvation Army written by lifelong Salvationist Wayne Thompson from the east coast of Canada.  Wayne wrote the play in honor of his brother Gary who for many years served as a Corps Sergeant Major at his local Corps until a stroke forced Gary to retire.

The play offers a humorous glimpse into the life of a small Corps whose long time CSM unexpectedly announces that he is retiring.  What follows is some not so subtle posturing by several prominent members of the Corps who see themselves as the perfect replacement.

Included in the production are a number of old Army songs as well as a brand new number written for the production by Wayne Thompson called "Army Days".

The production is in four acts with a salad, entrée and dessert course served between acts by the cast.

The night was well received by the 200 plus in attendance and was concluded with a devotional though brought by Lieutenant Colonel Henry Gonzalez who was the Area Commander in Houston when the Corps was opened.

Credit for the evening must be given to Deputy Songster Leader Julia Dunn who brought the idea to the committee, adapted and directed the play for Houston Northwest, helped in the organization of every aspect of the evening and acted on stage as well.

Ten years has certainly been worth celebrating but we know it is only the beginning and so we pledge to keep "Fighting On".  To God be the glory!

A DVD is being produced that we plan on making available to our Corps members and anyone else that would like a copy as a keepsake.
