Facing a crisis or an emergency situation? Quick tips from our course participants
Recently, the participants of our 3-month ETC course were asked about which leadership challenges they have faced during crisis or emergency situations they have encountered during their career. Here are some of the takeaways from the session:
  • Overestimate rather than underestimate the severity of the situation
  • "We are in a hurry, let's sit down!"
  • Manage your energy, not your stress
  • Beware of groupthink
  • Say what you know rather than what you hope
  • Empower those who know more than you do
  • Develop multiple scenarios and draw up a crisis management plan
  • Practice, practice, practice
