Tampa Bay Export Alliance Recognized for Excellence in Economic Development Regionalism and Collaboration
The Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation (THEDC) and Pinellas County Economic Development (PCED) received a Silver Excellence in Economic Development Award for creating the Tampa Bay Export Alliance to support export development and foreign direct investment in the region. The partners were recognized in the category of Regionalism and Cross-Border Collaboration by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The honor was presented at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 27, during the IEDC Annual Conference, which was held Sept. 25-28, in Cleveland, OH.
The Tampa Bay Export Alliance (TBEA) leverages bi-county resources for international programs, and has ushered in a new era of regional collaboration in Tampa Bay. The partnership helps to grow jobs and capital investment by increasing international business opportunities for companies within the bi-county area and marketing the region globally as a top business destination.

Made in Florida Mid-Pinellas Manufacturing Day
On October 25th, PCED joined the Pinellas Park/Gateway Chamber's Economic Development Committee for a tour of manufacturers in our community. We were welcomed and astonished by DASAN Zhone Solutions, Ocean Rhino, Nautical Structures Industries, Gun Drilling of Florida and Hydro-Dyne Engineering. 2016 Pinellas Reverse Trade Show a Success

Was your Pinellas business impacted by Hurricane Hermine? SBA Loans Are Available
Low interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration are available to help with business losses not covered by insurance. Information on SBA disaster loans may be obtained by calling (800) 659-2955 and (800) 877-8339 (TTY) or by going online. The Small Business Administration filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Nov. 28, 2016. Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA's secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela. The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 28, 2017.
