PODS Growth from Hometown Start-up to Global Success recognized by "Thank you for Doing Business in Pinellas" Award
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (April 15, 2016) - PODS was honored at the April 12th meeting of the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners with a, "Thank You for Doing Business in Pinellas" award. Ms. Lisa Goettel, Senior Vice President of Human Relations at PODS, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
PODS is a leader in the moving and storage industry providing both residential and commercial services in 46 U.S. states, Canada, Australia and the UK through its 79 franchises. The company employs 1,300 employees around the world and approximately 630 in Pinellas County.
"PODS is a homegrown success story that began in Pinellas is 1998," said Commissioner Charlie Justice, Chairman of the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners. "We're honored that they've chosen to continue to grow their company and corporate headquarters operations in our community."
Throughout the corporate and franchise systems, PODS supports a number of charities and community events that seek to enrich the lives of children and families.
