Chooses Pinellas for New Headquarters

Genius Central Systems, Inc., a leader in retail software solutions and actionable intelligence, announced today that it will relocate to and expand its headquarters operations in St. Petersburg, Florida. The growing company plans to hire 40 new employees. In addition, approximately 60 positions currently in Florida will be retained within the state and transferred to the new St. Petersburg headquarters location at 2232 5th Avenue South, St. Petersburg. "This is another win for our community and we're thrilled to welcome GeniusCentral Systems' corporate headquarters to Pinellas County," said Commissioner John Morroni, Chairman of the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners. "An innovative technology leader, like GeniusCentral, could choose to locate anywhere, but the strength of our Pinellas workforce and the warmth of our diverse community make Pinellas the ideal location for growing technology companies."

iQor CEO Praises Pinellas, St. Petersburg, Tampa Bay
At the University of Tampa Fellows Forum, Mr. Hartmut Liebel, CEO of iQor, discussed the company's reasons for selecting St. Petersburg, Florida as iQor global headquarters. Mr. Liebel explained that the decision was based on talent, community, and the warm welcome his team received. The leaders of iQor considered Chicago, Nevada and California, but in the end selected Pinellas as the community best suited to their company's future growth. iQor has over 32,000 employees in 66 locations throughout the world. Lockheed Martin Clearwater Solar Carport Project
Lockheed Martin in partnership with Advanced Green Technologies broke ground to establish Florida's Largest Private, Non-Utility Solar Array. This project will create 151,400 sq. ft. of protected parking for 534 cars sheltered by 7,260 solar modules providing over $6.5 million in cost savings to the company.
