Small Business Development Center helps the Caladesi Wash Bowl Fund a Future

Georgette Vance is a successful businesswoman who is also visually impaired. She specializes in commercial laundry services. When her business, Caladesi Wash Bowl, started to struggle due to broken equipment, the Florida Small Business Development Center at Pinellas County Economic Development showed Vance how to create a business plan to prepare for a loan application. On the strength of her plan, the Division of Blind Services granted Ms. Vance approximately $64,000 worth of equipment to get her business fully operational again. Ten dryers, seven top-loader washing machines, three double loader washing machines and two 40-pound loaders were installed, and Vance can now pursue the commercial projects she once had to turn down due to equipment limitations.  Georgette Vance is continuing to grow her business in Pinellas County.
