LEAKED EMAILS PROVE OBAMA "BACKED PLAN TO LAUNCH CHEMICAL WEAPON ATTACK ON SYRIA AND BLAME IT ON ASSAD"
And the band plays on. American reminds me of a battered victim suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Will nothing shake America out of her Obama-induced stupor?
Obama's tactics seem to emulate the al qaeda jihadists he is supporting in Syria.
This is evil. Imagine what we don't know.
Thanks to Armaros for sending this news story. He laments: "Obama brought me to a point where, contrary to how I always felt and most of us do wanting to win debates and be proven right, I am now days hope to be wrong. I hope that the story I am reading is not true as much as I despise this impostor. Your book was one of the first, if not the first series of information I was hoping to be proven wrong. Now daily I see stuff I wish turning out as some Alex Jones conspiracy or FB hoax or whatever...except the truth."

Leaked emails have allegedly proved that the White House gave the green light to a chemical weapons attack in Syria that could be blamed on Assad's regime and in turn, spur international military action in the devastated country.

Supreme Court: Arizona law requiring citizenship proof for voters is illegal
Published June 17, 2013
Associated Press
WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court ruled Monday that states cannot on their own require would-be voters to prove they are U.S. citizens before using a federal registration system designed to make signing up easier.
The justices voted 7-2 to throw out Arizona's voter-approved requirement that prospective voters document their U.S. citizenship in order to use a registration form produced under the federal "Motor Voter" voter registration law.
Federal law "precludes Arizona from requiring a federal form applicant to submit information beyond that required by the form itself," Justice Antonia Scalia wrote for the court's majority.
Ted Cruz Set to Infuriate the Left With Immigration Bill Amendment
The Blaze | Jason Howerton | Jun. 17, 2013 6:30pm
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Monday announced his intention to file another amendment to the so-called "gang of eight" immigration bill that is facing tough opposition from some GOP lawmakers.
"I'll file amendment to immigration bill that permits states to require ID before registering voters & close this hole in [federal] statutory law," Cruz wrote via his official Twitter account.
'Free at Last': La. State Senator Explains Why He Recently Left the 'Government Plantation' & Joined GOP in Powerful Video
The Blaze | Jason Howerton | Jun. 18, 2013 12:07am
Louisiana State Sen. Elbert Guillory, formerly a Democrat, recently - and enthusiastically - joined the Republican party.
Weeks after announcing his bold move, Guillory has released a video explaining why he is now with the GOP. The powerful video is titled, "Why I Am a Republican."
La. State Sen. Elbert Guillory (YouTube)
In the video, Guillory says it is the Republican Party that actually has the best interests of the black community in mind. He argues Democrats relentlessly push an agenda intended to exert control over blacks, not lift them out of poverty.
"You see, in recent history, the Democrat party has created the illusion that their agenda and their policies are what's best for black people," Guillory said. "Somehow it has been forgotten that the Republican party was founded in 1854 as an abolitionist movement, with one simple creed: that slavery is a violation of the rights of man."
Government 'Dragging' Us Into a War We 'Will Not Survive' in the Middle East
The Blaze | Erica Ritz | Jun. 17, 2013 8:30pm
Glenn Beck asserted on his weekday television program Monday that "we are moving in the wrong direction [as] a country," particularly with regard to the Middle East, and that that "we will all be destroyed because of it."
Speaking about the U.S. government's recent decision to arm the rebels in Syria, Beck said lawmakers in both parties are "dragging" us into yet another war.
"We are worn out and we do not [want to be] in anybody's business," Beck said, pointing out that polls indicate the American people overwhelmingly disagree with intervening in the Syrian conflict.
Double click anywhere into the crowd, then keep double clicking the same spot, and the person becomes crystal clear
Want to commit a crime while hiding in a crowd? Don't think for a minute that you'll have anonymity in a large crowd and the government won't be able to ID you! ........You'd expect that with so many pixels that faces would not be recognizable when zoomed in 800% or more.......this is very interesting..........
Put your cursor anywhere in the crowd, double-click a couple of times and then use the scroll button in the center of your mouse. You can zero in on one single face. The clarity is unbelievable.
This is the photo taken by Port Moody photographer Ronnie Miranda that appeared in Tri-City News Friday (24-June). You can see - perfectly - the faces of every single individual - and there were thousands!
Just think what the police - and others - have at their disposal!
There is an awesome application for computer and cell phone called 2ND VOTE (2ndvote.org) Want to know what companies support conservative issue and what companies support liberal agendas. It rates the companies and tells you how they finance different issues. Please take a few minutes to watch a short video on this application. Politicians understand only two things 1. Getting power 2. Keeping power. Business too understands just 2 things 1. Getting your money 2. Getting more of your money. Start using the free market system while we still have it. There is ALWAYS an alternative.
PLEASE SHARE WITH EVERYONE you know. Post on FaceBook and Twitter. This software was developed by a concerned conservative from Tennessee.

The movie " Corpus Christi " is due to be released this June to August. A disgusting film set to appear in America later this year depicts Jesus and his disciples as homosexuals! As a play, this has already been in theaters for a while. It's called " Corpus Christi " which means "The Body of Christ". It's revolting mockery of our Lord. But we can make a difference.
That's why I am sending this e-mail to you. If you do send this around, we just might be able to prevent this film from showing in Canada and America . Let's stand for what we believe in and stop the mockery of Jesus Christ our Savior. Where do we stand as Christians? At the risk of a bit of inconvenience, I'm forwarding this to all I think would appreciate it, too. Please help us prevent such offenses against our Lord. There is no petition to sign, no time limit, or minimum number of people to send this to.. It will take you less than 2 minutes!
If you are not interested and do not have the 2 minutes it will take to do this, please don't complain when God does not have time for you because He is far busier than we are. Hey it's worth a shot! Apparently, some regions in Europe have already banned the film. All we need is a lot of prayer and a lot of e-mails.

Google Needs Extra Time to Spy on Your Kids
It seems that Google is constantly falling afoul of conservatives, consumers, pundits, regulators and really everyone else on earth (except for the Obama campaign) for its privacy-infringing tendencies.
It got hammered for "alleged" spying in the Safarigate scandal, where it wound up agreeing to a record-breaking $22.5 million fine in connection with charges it surreptitiously tracked Apple Safari users who Google had said could opt out of tracking, and did what Google said was necessary to opt out. This spying of course enabled Google to grab data it shouldn't have had, to improve its highly profitable targeted ad business, and do it in a way that amounted to a violation of its contract with users. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
Patriotic Summer Movie!
FROM THE DIRECTOR OF GODS AND GENERALS AND GETTYSBURG COMES THE LIBERTY MOVIE OF THE YEAR
RON MAXWELL'S COPPERHEAD
For anyone who reveres and believes in the preservation of the Constitution of the United States, Copperhead is a must see this summer!
Copperhead is unlike any Civil War movie to date. It is a film of the war at home - of a family ripped apart by war, of a community driven to an appalling act of vengeance against a man who insists on exercising his right to free speech during wartime. A story of the violent passions and burning feuds that set ablaze the homefront during the Civil War, Copperhead the movie is also a timeless and deeply moving examination of the price of dissent, the place of the individual amidst the hysteria of wartime, and the terrible price of war - a cost measured not in dollars but in fractured families, broken loves, and men dead before their time.
Based on the extraordinary novel by Harold Frederic, who witnessed these conflicts firsthand as a small child, Copperhead tells the story of Abner Beech, a stubborn and righteous farmer of Upstate New York, who defies his neighbors and his government in the bloody and contentious autumn of 1862.

Were you targeted by the IRS for your political beliefs? Did you receive extra scrutiny for promoting limited government, the constitution, and fiscal responsibility? If not, will you be next?
What: Audit the IRS Rally When: Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from Noon - 2pm Where: West Lawn of the US Capitol
Join us on Wednesday, June 19th at 12pm on the West Lawn of the US Capitol as we come together to rally against the IRS. It's time that Washington sees first-hand just how outraged the American people are by these discriminatory acts.
In the spirit of what Becky Gerritson of Wetumpka Tea Party so elegantly said in her testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee:
"We are patriotic Americans. We peacefully assemble. We petition our government. We exercise our right to free speech and we don't understand why our government tried to stop us. We aren't here as a serf or a vassal. We're not begging our lords for mercy. We are born free American citizens and we're telling our government that you've forgotten your place. Its not your responsibility to look our for our well being and monitor our speech. Its not your right to assert an agenda. The post that you occupy exists to preserve American liberty. You've sworn to perform that duty and you have faltered."
Becky Gerritson gives testimony to Ways and Means Committee on IRS targeting her Tea Party group
WE'RE GOING TO WASHINGTON, D.C! On Wednesday, June 19, 2013 Tea Party Patriots (and maybe some other grassroots groups), are putting together an "Audit the IRS" Rally in D.C. Right now, the bus situation is up in the air, but TPP is working on it. In the meantime, I suggest that as group leaders/coordinators, you put together car pools and get as many of your members to Washington, D.C. as possible on the 19th. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT FOR TPP to make bus arrangements! If they put something together, we'll know about it and get the word out immediately. Set up carpools and be on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol by 12:00PM. If you're carpooling and you live in the Philadelphia area, leave no later than 6:00AM, otherwise you'll spend 2-3 hours trying to get from Delaware to D.C. As far as parking goes, you can park your car at Union Station for $20.00 for the day and walk or take a cab over to the Capitol. Below is a link from the TPP website. Please pass it on to everyone on your groups' email list and get as many of your group members to D.C. as possible.
If you are interested in going with us, the Philadelphia Tea Party Patriots-Lower Bucks, we will be carpooling, and we will be leaving from our house at 6:00AM SHARP! (If you're late, you can catch up with us on I-95!) Our address is 3585 Aster Avenue, Feasterville , PA 19053. I will be driving and have four people.....and I'm asking for other volunteers to drive and take others.
The latest info I have is that there are buses coming from many states as well as individual cars with folks. The crowd may not be in the million people area as it was in 2009; however, it is going to leave a huge mark on Washington. They will know we are there!!!
Good speakers.....among Michelle Bachman, Rand Paul, Louie Gohmert, etc.
Please make every effort to let DC know we aren't going to let our country shrivel on the vine~

June 19 - 21 we will convene at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC for our fourth annual National Conference & Legislative Briefing.
And here's some really great news: This year's registration fee is only $229! Register by April 15th and you'll receive our "Early Bird" rate of just $189!
We also offer again this year special benefits for Patriot Eagle and Patriot sponsors.
We have some exciting new wrinkles planned for this year's event, and our list of confirmed speakers already includes:
Steven Emerson - Journalist, author, and the Executive Editor of the Investigative Project on Terrorism. A. M. Rosenthal, late-managing editor of The New York Times, described Emerson as "one of the nation's best national security correspondents."
John Guandolo - Former FBI agent and one of America's leading authorities on the Muslim Brotherhood and its inner workings in America. Guandolo spoke at our conference in 2011 and received rave reviews from conference attendees!
Ezra Levant - Canadian lawyer, author, newspaper columnist with Sun Media, and former publisher of the Western Standard. Hauled before a Canadian "human rights commission" because he published the Danish cartoons that satirized Muhammad, Levant's personal account of a politically correct government inquisition is something you won't want to miss!
The National Conference & Legislative Briefing will begin on Wed. evening, June 19th, and conclude on Friday, June 21st at noon, with additional optional training sessions Friday afternoon.
It will again feature our very popular Capitol Hill Awards Luncheon and our signature gala banquet-and of course, our Legislative Briefing, where Members of Congress will brief you on various issues and answer your questions.
So make your plans now to join us in our nation's capital for what promises to be our best National Conference & Legislative Briefing ever!
More details to come!
TO MY POLITICAL FRIENDS: Please mark your calendars for Monday, July 15...there is going to be a upcoming rally in Washington DC at Freedom Plaza at 9:30 AM. From what I understand this rally is organizing AGAINST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and IN FAVOR OF JOBS FOR AMERICANS!! You can get more info about it at: http://dcmarchforjobs.com/ is the link site. A number of organizations are sponsoring it and organizing for it including: the Black American Leadership Alliance and the New Jersey Citizens For Immigration Control. If you are not available that day to attend the rally, you can still donate money towards helping to offset the costs of the buses to get to DC. From what I understand buses will be headed to DC for this rally coming from all over the United States!!. So if you support jobs for Americans then please join the rally.
Dear RedStater,
We are excited to announce that Governor Nikki Haley will be attending this year's RedState Gathering!
We'll be in New Orleans August 2nd and 3rd with an all-star line-up to celebrate our Fifth Annual event. Nikki Haley hosted us two years ago in South Carolina where she hosted a great welcome reception and gave a fantastic speech that really got the crowd fired up on Saturday morning. We are thrilled to welcome her back to the RedState Gathering in New Orleans.
Confirmed speakers include:
Ted Cruz
Ken Cuccinelli
Nikki Haley
Bobby Jindal
Jim Bridenstine
Speaker invitations have also been extended to:
-
Gov. Rick Perry (TX)
-
Sen. Marco Rubio (FL)
-
Liz Cheney
-
Rep. Mick Mulvaney (SC)
-
Sen. Tim Scott (SC)
-
Rep. Steve Scalise (LA)
-
And more!
We'll have plenty more speaker announcements coming shortly, but we're guaranteed to have a good mix of elected officials, potential 2014 cycle candidates, and other RedState friends. Remember, the Gathering is unique in conservative events in that speakers pay their own way and are required to take questions from folks in the audience.
What better excuse for a trip to New Orleans? And, don't forget, your registration even includes most of your food, as well as access to deeply discounted hotel rooms.
As some of you may know, I am associated with Coventry Christian Schools as a parent of a graduate (2010) and as member of the Board of Trustees. Last October we spent a wonderful evening honoring Mark Niehls at our revitalized Founder's Dinner and celebrated our shared heritage in the remarkable community that is Coventry Christian Schools. Our vision for future Founder's Dinners is to inspire and inform not only our alumni and current CCS families but to inspire and inform the Tri-County Area and even our region by hosting speakers and artists who can uniquely assist us in celebrating the heritage, core values, and mission of CCS while also lifting our vision for an even greater future built upon the foundation of our past. The caliber of our speakers and guest artists should provide us with wonderful opportunities to share our CCS story with new partners in Christian education. Proceeds from the dinner will be applied to our annual Coventry Kids Fund for CCS scholarships.
This year we are proud to announce that our distinguished guest and speaker is Dr. Benjamin Carson, and our dinner's theme is "Faith of Our Fathers: The Role of Faith in American Schools." Please join us as we welcome Dr. Carson to the Tri-County Area and celebrate the great things God is doing at CCS!
Dr. Carson is a highly regarded neurosurgeon and motivational speaker who has addressed various audiences across the country. He is one of the most honored and recognized physicians in the world and holds more than 60 honorary doctorate degrees along with hundreds of awards and citations. He is a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States. He is the author of five books and is the founder of the Carson Scholars Fund. The 2009 award-winning movie entitled Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story, starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. as Carson, premiered on TNT and is based on his memoir. Dr. Carson is an authentic disciple of Christ, has been married to his wife Candy for more than 37 years, and is the father of three sons.
The 2013 Founder's Dinner, which will once again be a part of our Homecoming festivities, will be held at the historic Sunnybrook Ballroom in Pottstown on Sunday, October 13th, 2013. Doors will open at 4:30pm, followed by dinner at 5:15. Dress will be business/professional. Tickets will be priced at $100 until May 15th, then will be $125, so reserve your tickets for the reduced price.
Due to Dr. Carson's international reputation and recent prominence in the media, including his recent speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, we fully anticipate that this event will sell out quickly once advertised to the public. Tickets go on sale to the public April 15. If you are interested in attending, tickets can be purchased online. I will send the link out to those who wish to go on April 15
th
. While online reservations are preferred because they facilitate efficient event planning, you may also complete a paper order form, which I can forward to you as well.
All of us at Coventry Christian Schools, look forward to sharing this very special evening with you and acquainting you with the school and its mission!
Blessings,

WHAT IS COMMON CORE?
Common Core, or the Common Core State Standards Initative (CCSSI), as it is known at the State and Federal level, is a set of national education standards that will fulfill the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, through a waiver system. (The NCLB Act was put into place by Congress in 2001 and signed into law by President George W. Bush). Many states were failing to meet the NCLB Act requirements and, therefore, wanted something to replace NCLB.Common Core is part of the UN's plan for complete federal control over our education systems and the "Dumbing-down" of America.
COMMON CORE IS A TROJAN HORSE AND TIED TO THE UNITED NATIONS (UN)
If you cannot see that Common Core is tied to the United Nations you have not done your homework! The major funder of the Common Core Movement is the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which has pledged $60 million dollars to this effort. Bill and Melinda Gates are tied to UN through-and-through and have spent money in America and overseas for UN programs in Africa and all over the world for decades.
From the Conservative Teachers of American organization, they wrote an article entitled: "Common Core Standards and the Federalization of Education." In this article we read: "Many are concerned that the Common Core Standards, once successfully implemented, will provide unfettered access of our educational system by the United Nations. Some textbooks and curricula for our public schools have already been written by the [United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization] UNESCO and the International Baccalaureate program, that is currently in many school districts, across the United States. Grabbing additional access is a natural next step. Once they write the curricula, they must have authority to develop all testing tools."
The UN involvement in the American educational system has already been facilitated by treaties signed by American presidents from both parties. Those documents include but are not limited to: Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Treaty on the Rights of the Child, Civic Education: Classroom Connections, and Agenda 21.
The US Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development (since 2003), is the nexus of the UNA-USA and Global Leadership Coalition at the Department of Education, which altogether leverages the UN Decade on Education for Sustainable Development 2005-2014. UNESCO, the lead agency of the Decade, defines Education for Sustainable Development as "education for everyone everywhere" for the "lifelong learning" of "present and future generations".
The UNA-USA sponsors Model UN across America and tailors its Global Classrooms curricula to whichever setting the kids happen to be participating. Children are unknowingly trained to respond with prescribed consensus to the situations, simulations and stimulation's of the particular activity (Delphi Technique). Global Kids is the CFR arm of Connect All Schools Consortium, a new Department of Education network, led by Independent Sector and The White House via United Planet Partners. Global Kids is preparing children for Agenda 21.
The White House, NSA and CIA now have website divisions aimed at kids. The Public Education Network is a national association funded by Independent Sector donors: plus Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the Department of Education
From the Partnership for 21st Century Skills aligning the Common Core State Standards with "professional development" content for teachers and principals and Lego Robotics curricula for students (Carnegie Mellon/Lego Education); to software curricula through websites like: cyberschoolbus.un.org, icivics.org, atomiclearning.com, renlearn.org, brainpop.com and ttl4.sunburst.com; to the weekly deliveries of Time for Kids magazine and textbook curricula into classrooms; kids are programmed with UN-defined values. State Governors administer Federal funds to "Community-Oriented Policing" systems like Crime Stoppers (The UN, FBI and other law enforcement and corporate partners administer Crime Stoppers International), the local student-equivalent of the Department of Homeland Security's' "See Something, Say Something" campaign; whereby children see hand-drawn posters of child characters on school walls displaying "Eyes Looking", "Ears Listening", "Mouth Reporting" with a hotline to call. Presidents Bush and Obama have personally followed the George H. W. Bush/Clinton trail of the Agenda 21/ Sustainable America megabanks-maze in "bipartisan" fashion.
UNESCOPLEDGESSUPPORT OF COMMON CORE
From UNESCO's document "The Vision of Education Reform in the United States" it states: "My department has been pleased to partner with the US Agency for International Development to help ensure that our best domestic practices are shared world-wide. The United States provides over a billion dollars annually to partner countries working on educational reform. Our goal for the coming year will be to work closely with global partners, including UNESCO, to promote qualitative improvements and system strengthening....Ultimately, education is the great equalizer. It is the one force that can consistently overcome differences in background, culture, and privilege."
Principle #25- "Children and Youth in Sustainable Development." In the "Activites 25.9.d" it states: "Ensure access for all youth to all types of education, wherever appropriate, providing alternative learning structures, ensure that education reflects the economic and social needs of youth and incorporates the concepts of environmental training, implementing innovative methods aimed at increasing practical skills, such as environmental scouting."
Principle #36- "Promoting Education, Public Awareness and Training." In the Activities Section of this document in "36.5.g" we read: "Within two years the United Nations system should undertake a comprehensive review of its educational programmes, encompassing training and public awareness, to reassess priorites and reallocae resources. The UNESCO/UNEP International Environmental Education Programme should, in cooperation with the appropriate bodies of the United Nations system, Governments, non-governmental organizations and others, establish a porgramme within two years to integrate the decisions of the Conference into the existing United Nations framework adapted to the need of the educators at different levels and circumstances. Regional organizations and national authorities should be encouraged to elaborate similar parallel programmes and opportunies by conducting an analysis of how to mobilize different sectors of the population in order to assess and address their environmental and development education needs."
In the Activities Section of this document in "36.5 h" we read: "There is a need to strengthen, within five years, information exchange by enhancing technologies and capacities necessary to promote environment and development education and public awareness. Countries should cooperate with each other and with the various social sectors and population groups to prepare educational tools that include regional environment and development issues and initiatives, using learning materials and resources suited to their own requirements." Sounds just like PARCC and SLDS. ASU's Institute for Global Sustainability and their "Sustainable Cities Network" is doing a fine job "brain-washing" our students in our high schools on sustainability, global warming (aka climate change), etc. Go here to meet the ASU sustainability schools!
COMMON CORE SCIENCE STANDARDS TEACH GLOBAL WARMING!
Reality Check.....COMMON CORE EDUCATION = COMMUNISM IN AMERICA!
Common Core Education is the INDOCTRINATION of our CHILDREN.
DO NOT LISTEN TO THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT RHETORIC FROM MIKE HUCKABEE!!!
Reality Check- just in case you ever had a doubt......MIke Huckabee is a typical GOP Establishment person.
Mike Huckabee is now championing Common Core Education on Fox News for the GOP! How disgusting is that?!?!? "Mike Huckabee Urges Conservatives to Back Common Core Standards"
This is another reason why Constitutional Conservatives MUST leave the GOP and beware of what you hear on Fox News. Fox News continues to move to the left - to the liberal progressive side of issues. That is the very very sad but true fact. Mr. GOP Huckabee....."It's disturbing to me there have been criticisms of these standards directed by other conservatives including the RNC," Huckabee wrote. "The truth of the matter is, these criticisms are short-sighted." see attached article from Sunshine News. Send a message to Mr. GOP Huckabee at http://www.mikehuckabee.com/masterfeedback and send a loud message to the every more liberal progressive Fox News! Americans that believe in our Constitution must not be silent about this!
Do NOT let Fox News get away with promoting the very liberal progressive Common Core Education that promotes the ideology that American Children are Common/Community Property!
Do NOT let Fox News get away with promoting the loss of state's rights and the federal government taking over Education. WE NEED TO ABOLISH THE FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION - NOT EMPOWER IT!
If you support SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM FOR THE U.S.A. then COMMON CORE EDUCATION IS FOR YOU. If you believe in the U.S.A. CONSTITUTION....then YOU WILL LOUDLY AND OPENLY REJECT AND OPPOSE COMMON CORE EDUCATION AND ANYONE THAT PROMOTES IT!!
Common Core Education is the indoctrination of American Children. This is NOT acceptable if you still believe in FREEDOM!!
The proponents of Common Core say that the standards ARE state led because they were developed by The National Governors' Association.
Well, perhaps this is true in a way that is very disturbing! Listen to this speech at the 1989 NGA conference on education (at 12:48).
The Development of Common Core, Explained by Michael Chapman
The video says this is a clip from the 1989 National Governors'Assoc conference on Education:
Sr. Director of Mid-Continental Regional Education Laboratory, Dr. Shirley McCune
She says about education:
#1) Total transformation of our society
#2) Teaching of facts and information (knowledge) is no longer the primary purpose of education
#3) Close connection between economic (sustainable) development and human capitol (human resource labor for a planned economy)
A group that allowed this kind of rhetoric to be said at their meeting? I don't think I want them developingeducational standards! Please read to the bottom for transcripts from the 1987 NGA meetings chaired by Bill Clinton. These transcripts are eye-opening. They are clearly more concerned with workers for the manufacturing. They seem to have concerns that we have students who can't read well enough (non-English speaking especially) to function in the manufacturing plants, and then on the other end of the spectrum... too many with higher ed degrees who don't WANT to work in the manufacturing. So... what to do about all this? Hummm.... standards! Make sure they read well enough to function as the industrial workers, but not so well that they don't want to!!! This is the John D. Rockefeller goal of the early 20th century when he started pushing for compulsory government schooling and funding the building of government schools.

At the June 10 Common Core forum in Fayette County, Superintendent Barge stated over and over again that if Georgia wants to change these standards at any time, we have the ability to do so.The testimony below contradicts this belief by Superintendent Barge and confirms that states who adopted the Common Core standards DO NOT have the ability to change the standards in any way on their own.
2:23:00 - Rep. Tim Scott discusses his amendment to Harkin's bill. Instead of states being forced to adopt blanket standards like Common Core as a prerequisite for funding, let's put decision-making back in the hands of parents and teachers in our communities."
2:31:00 - It is admitted that states who want to change the CC standards, the Secretary of Education would have to approve it. States DO NOT have the ultimate decision making abilities!
2:39:00 - Alexander reads page 89 of the bill stating that any changes to standards MUST go through the Secretary of Education for approval. As are most of the amendments offered by Republicans to this education bill, the Scott Amendment is defeated 12-10.
DATA COLLECTING: Senator Burr at the 1:00:00 mark reveals information about ADDITIONAL data points that this legislation will add to the data mining. He says that his count is now 500 data points.
TEACHER EVALUATIONS: Senator Alexander at 2:00:00 mark discusses his amendment to end federally mandated school and teacher evaluations. He says states had a "gun to their head" to adopt the teacher evaluations because they were desperate for NCLB waivers. He makes the charge that the Harkin bill creates a "NATIONAL SCHOOL BOARD." The Gates Foundation involvement is mentioned frequently.
Harkin says over and over "this is voluntary." If states don't want to implement the programs in the bill we just don't accept the money!" More strong evidence that our states need to "just say no" to all federal education dollars. As is pointed out in this debate: Any private business that entered into a partnership where the partner who contributed 10% funding got 80-90% of the control (as is the case with education funding under NCLB and Common Core) the partnership is DOOMED TO FAIL!

Donna Holt from Campaign for Liberty has also written extensively on this issue and her research provided valuable information both to James Simpson and Right Side News, and most importantly, the citizens of Virginia to get them involved at the local level.
Sustainable Development is code for a policy designed to transform human society, essentially eliminating individual life decisions and replacing them with top - down, one-size-fits-all government control. In steady fashion, the agenda for this new policy, designed at the international level, is put into place piece by piece with a new government council here, and new regulation there, each designed to appear as a "local" development program. Like the proverbial frog in the slowly boiling pot, many Americans fail to notice the rise in government heat.
The main course of action to impose the new agenda is through the pretense of environmental protection; "Sorry about your rights, but if we don't save the planet, then we will all perish!" And so with the devastation of a thousand pin pricks, America and its form or government is being changed through the creation of non-elected boards, councils and regional governments, designed to enforce the new regulations and "assure that we protect the environment."
The pin pricks come disguised as such issues as controls on community development; controls on use of private property; controls on use of open space; creation of development areas, many times under the excuse of historic preservation; communities designed on the blue print of pack and stack housing; making it harder to drive as roads are narrowed, even forcing cars to share the road with bicycles; the enforcement of expensive mass transit boondoggle projects; and the never ending spending spree on inefficient, unworkable alternative energy, such as wind and solar power.
In fact, control of energy and water are the two most effective tools in the enforcement of the Sustainable Development agenda. Without energy and water, human society stops. Using strict controls on how, or even if, energy and water can be used provides government with the power to dictate every aspect of society.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to consider H.R. 1797, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act TOMORROW. This bill is a nationwide ban on abortions after 20 weeks.
A Gallup poll from last December shows that 64% of Americans, though divided on Roe v. Wade, support limits on abortion to some degree. In the wake of the recent conviction of Philadelphia late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who was found guilty of first-degree murder in the case of three babies born alive in his clinic, we are seeing these numbers climb as people become more educated.
Kermit Gosnell killed these babies, born alive, through a procedure he called "snipping" - a method of cutting the spinal cord that was reportedly done routinely in his clinic. During the trial, Washington Examiner columnist Timothy Carney asked Tracy Weitz, an associate professor at the University of California, "What is the distinction between what [Gosnell] did, and what a late-term abortionist like, say, LeRoy Carhart does?" The professor replied, "When a procedure that usually involves the collapsing of the skull is done, it's usually done when the fetus is still in the uterus, not when the fetus has been delivered."
This candid answer demonstrates why H.R. 1797 is necessary. The painful process of killing an unborn child after 20 weeks happens all too often in the U.S. - and the only reason it is legal is because the child is in utero.
Call and e-mail your Representative and urge them to vote YES on H.R. 1797, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. We must continue to educate on the horrors of abortion!
If you are on Twitter, follow @EagleForum and @EagleForumDC. Today, we are using #theyfeelpain to draw attention to the fact that the last moments of the lives of these unborn children are undoubtedly traumatic.

3 Things You Should Know About the Supreme Court and Voter ID
Amy Payne | June 18, 2013 at 7:12 am
Yesterday, the Supreme Court handed down one of its first major decisions of this term, striking down Arizona's measure requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration. Media reports are already off base in interpreting this decision, says Heritage legal expert Hans von Spakovsky. Here are three things to know about the decision.
1. This is not a voter ID decision.
This decision has to do with voter registration, not the act of voting. Von Spakovsky explains:
In 2004, Arizona voters overwhelmingly approved a referendum that had two major components: voter ID for in-person voting and a requirement that anyone registering to vote provide proof of citizenship. The voter ID provision was not before the Supreme Court and is alive and well in Arizona. (emphasis added)
Although it did not strike down the provision that requires a photo ID for in-person voting, von Spakovsky said "the Supreme Court came down on the wrong side of election integrity" with this ruling.
2. Federal law already mandates that a person must be a U.S. citizen to vote.
The Court's ruling does not mean that requiring proof of citizenship is bad or wrong. In fact, people are supposed to vote only if they are citizens.
The Court ruled the way it did because there is already a federal law requiring people to affirm that they are U.S. citizens when they register to vote. Most people register using the federal mail-in form under the "Motor Voter" law. The majority of the justices said that federal requirement "preempts" Arizona's requirement, which simply means the federal law comes first.
But Arizona residents can register to vote using the federal form or a state form. Von Spakovsky notes that "Arizona can continue to require proof of citizenship for anyone who registers using the state form."
3. States do determine the qualifications of their voters.
If Arizona has information about a voter that shows he or she is not eligible to vote, then the state still decides who is a legitimate voter.
The Court specifically noted that under our Constitution, states have the exclusive right to determine the qualifications of voters in federal elections, and Arizona can deny registration to anyone who submits a federal form if it has other information in its possession that establishes the ineligibility of the applicant.
Making sure that only U.S. citizens are voting is vital to the integrity of American elections. This Supreme Court decision basically kept the status quo, and meanwhile, voting reforms are needed.
1.How Many Kids Will Die Before Pro-Lifers Are Willing to Move the Ball Toward Life?
House Republicans have the opportunity to save the lives of children and put the Democrats on defense all in one turn. They are set to consider legislation that would prohibit abortions in the United States after 20 weeks, which is the point a child in the womb can feel pain.
In light of the Kermit Gosnell horror story, you would expect a majority of Americans would support this legislation. They do. The GOP put in exceptions for rape and incest so the left cannot demonize them as being at war with women. As Trent Franks of Arizona noted, the instances of abortions due to rape is not high, nor are the instances of abortion due to incest. While they happen, they are not most common.
In other words, the House Republicans are set to restrict abortions in America in a way that the overwhelming majority of both men and women in the United States support. This will result in lives saved. It will put the Democrats on the defense on abortion in a way they haven't been since the partial birth abortion ban.
Sadly, like Lt. Colonel Nicholson unwilling to blow up the damn bridge over the River Kwai, some pro-life groups are unable to bring themselves to actually save children from having their brains sucked out or injected with saline or all the other gruesome ways they are slaughtered. These pro-life groups have decided it is better that all children to be aborted keep getting aborted rather than spare the majority unless the law gets rid of the exception for rape and incest.
2.Insurance Premiums For Single Women Double In CA
War on women much?"[M]any Americans face substantial increases in their health insurance premiums. Much of the debate has focused on young men, the "bros" who will bear the brunt of Obamacare's rate hikes. But in California, women and men will see equally high jumps in the underlying cost of individual-market premiums." . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
3.The 2016 GOP platform: equality and the rule of law
I agree with Erick's point this morning that Senator Marco Rubio does not deserve tar and feathers for something one of his aides said. The quote in question went as follows: "There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can't cut it... There shouldn't be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can't get it, can't do it, don't want to do it.And so you can't obviously discuss that publicly."
Actually, if this comment had not emerged during a discussion of immigration policy, it would be hard to argue with. It's indisputably true that not every American worker is a star performer. There most certainly are people who just can't get it, can't do it, and don't want to do it.When these unlovely but accurate statements are followed with, "And that's why we should import foreign workers, and give amnesty to those who came here illegally!" the context undergoes a tectonic shift, and all Hell breaks loose.
Among other problems with proposing immigration as the "solution" for the just-can't-get-it segment of the populace is that they'll never get it.The system will never improve with a safety valve like cheap foreign labor to release all the pent-up economic pressure. This is true for employees, employers, and the government. And let's not be coy: quite a few members of the illegal alien population "just can't get it" and "don't want to do it," either. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
AT author on public radio June 17, 2013 What happens when an AT author who is an expert on the Middle East is interviewed for 15 minutes on a public radio show? More

How does one define a nation? That is truly the fundamental question of amnesty.
The libertarian argument in favor of amnesty comes down to the question of whether nations even necessary at all. If the only characteristic that matters is freedom then borders and the other vestiges of nationhood only interfere with the flow of the free market.
America then becomes a set of ideas and its only usefulness is as a space for harboring those ideas. This ideological definition of a nation demands that it sacrifice its survival to its ideas.
This notion is found most strongly among liberals for whom the actual physical survival of the country ranks a distant second to its duty to live up to its ideals. That is why liberals can argue that torture is wrong even in a ticking nuclear bomb scenario.
In the real world countries don't do well as vehicles for ideology. A country is a practical entity that encompasses the real life needs and challenges of people, while an ideology tends toward rigid self-righteous fantasies. Countries need ideologies to define them, but becoming prisoners to rigid ideological ideals can destroy them.
Any ideology whose logic is followed to its final conclusion leads to a horrifying and unlivable society.
The logic of libertarian amnesty would fill the voting rolls full of supporters of big government and the welfare state in the name of economic freedom. It's not the worst illustration of how ideologies commit suicide through following the siren song of their logic to the farthest north. It's not even the worst such example involving immigration. That honor belongs to the European left whose immigration policies have doomed the survival of every value it claims to care for. But it is typical of the destruction wrought by dismissing people and their nations as interchangeable cogs in a machine of ideas.
Exclusive: Joseph Farah demands resignation of official who ignores national security threat
It's not just that government collects so much data on Americans that bothers me.
It's what the government does and doesn't do with the data that makes it worse.
Take, for example, the feisty interchange between Rep. Louis Gohmert, R-Texas, and FBI Director Robert Mueller last week.
Gohmert was grilling Mueller over the FBI's abject failure at preventing the April 15 Boston Marathon bombing by neglecting to investigate the terrorists' mosque, founded by Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was convicted of supporting terrorism. He also pointed out the FBI had a tip from Russia that one of the Tsarnaev brothers had been radicalized in a visit to Chechnya prior to the attack.
"The FBI never canvassed Boston mosques until four days after the April 15 attacks," Gohmert said. "If the Russians tell you that someone has been radicalized and you go check and see the mosque that they went to, then you get the articles of incorporation as I have for the group that created the Boston mosque where these Tsarnaevs attended and you find out the name Alamoudi."
Mueller accused Gohmert of not having his facts straight, for which he should be cited for contempt of Congress. It is Mueller who didn't have his facts straight - even admitting he didn't know about who founded the mosque.
That's an illustration of why too much information in the wrong hands - and make no mistake about it, the government's hands are the wrong hands - is so dangerous. Too much information sometimes obscures the obvious.
Islamic Society of Boston Mosque was, and remains to this day, a breeding ground for the kind of Muslim extremism that represents a grave threat to national security and the safety of the American public.
It seems like every time we turn around we come across another example of how "Jihad Denial Syndrome" is compromising our national security and your safety. See the article below (highlights added).

On Not Knowing What to Look ForJune 6, 2013, American Thinker By Dennis Hale The Congressional delegation investigating Russian intelligence alerts about Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011 returned from Moscow this week with a message that completely misses the point.
If we had had the kind of U.S./Russian cooperation a year ago that we have now, the delegation postulate, the Boston Marathon bombings might have been prevented. According to the Boston Globe, Representative Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee that organized the trip, said that "[the bombing] could have been averted [if] both countries were working together on a much higher level."
This conclusion, however, is wrong. The Russians did warn the FBI about Tamerlan Tsarnaev, and their warnings were quite specific. Based on their own intelligence intercepts, the Russian secret service knew that Tsarnaev was communicating with jihadists in Chechnya, had become a follower of "radical Islam," and might attempt to travel to Russia to join the Chechnyan "resistance" -- something he apparently did, or tried to do, one year later.
So the FBI dutifully interviewed Tsarnaev and his family in January of 2011. When they failed to find any evidence that Tsarnaev had committed, or was about to commit, a crime, they closed his file and forgot all about him. They did not share the Russian warnings with anyone in the Cambridge police department (the city where the Tsarnaevs lived) or the Massachusetts State Police, apparently because becoming a "follower of radical Islam" is not illegal and therefore not something the FBI should worry about.
That's too bad, because nine months after the warnings -- on September 11, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks -- three men in Tamerlan's social circle were murdered in the Boston suburb of Waltham under what must have struck local police as highly unusual circumstances. The three -- Brendan Mess, Erik Weissman, and Raphael Teken -- were found in different parts of their apartment on the morning of September 12, their throats cut so deeply that they had been nearly decapitated. Furthermore, the bodies had been sprinkled with marijuana and money - over $5,000 in cash. One local police officer said that it was the bloodiest crime scene he had ever encountered, and that it looked like something "right out of an al-Qaeda training video." What it did not look like was a typical "drug-related crime."
And yet that is how the police apparently treated it. If investigators had asked questions about the victims' associates, they would certainly have turned up the name of Tamerlan Tsarnaev and possibly also Tamerlan's younger brother Dzhokhar. Tamerlan was a close friend of Brendan Mess. After the Marathon bombings, in fact, Mess's family told reporters how puzzled they were that Tamerlan had not attended Brendan's funeral, since they had once been very close. But apparently the police did not discover this in 2011.
However, even if local police had learned of Tamerlan's association with the Waltham victims, would they have noted the significance of the 9/11 anniversary, the religion of the victims (two of them were Jews), and the Koranic method of execution -- "strike [the unbelievers] on their necks" (Koran 8:12), commonly cited by jihadists when beheading infidels? If so, they might have given Tamerlan the kind of scrutiny that would have turned up the same information that had alarmed the Russians in the first place -- Tamerlan's Youtube page, to name one possibility, featuring jihadist preachers from Lebanon and Chechnya.
Would they then have learned that the FBI had also been interested in Tamerlan Tsarnaev, less than a year earlier, based on warnings from Russian intelligence? Wouldn't it have been helpful if the FBI had alerted local authorities more broadly to keep an eye on the Tsarnaevs? Had local authorities known these things, and if they had been trained to spot the pattern of jihad crimes and jihad incitement, then Tamerlan Tsarnaev could not long have escaped whatever responsibility he might have shared for the killings in Waltham. He would now be in prison, and the victims of the Marathon bombing would be alive and well.
So it would seem that Russian/U.S. cooperation is not what we need more of, if we are to prevent so-called "lone wolf" terrorist attacks. Rather, we need more cooperation between the FBI and local law enforcement. But what we need most is a greatly enhanced program for educating law enforcement about what jihad means, where it comes from, who promotes it, and how to spot it. We would have had such a program long ago were it not for the baleful influence of the government's "Muslim outreach partners," who have convinced government officials that there is no connection between Islamic doctrine and acts of terror. The bloody consequences of such deliberate miseducation are more apparent now than ever before.
Until the police know what to look for, they will never be able to find it, and if they don't know what it looks like, they won't be able to see it, even when it is right in front of their noses -- even when it looks like something straight out of an al-Qaeda training video. Dennis Hale teaches political science at Boston College, and is a director of Americans for Peace and Tolerance.
This week, the Obama administration stated it would begin the process of arming the trusted opposition and may consider many more measures, including possibly, but not yet, a limited no-fly zone over the beleaguered country.
CAIR, a key component of a network of Muslim Brotherhood organizations in the U.S., called the turnout a "mob" and praised the Obama/Holder Justice Department for standing up to local residents.
This will be the eleventh presidential election in the history of Iran since Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini seized control of the nation in 1979, forcing the Shah to flee.
If the Obama Administration breaks the law at will, lies to the American people, uses every government agency at its disposal to punish its conservative enemies and no one does anything about it, does it make a sound?

#SAVAGE MONA ELTAHAWY IS NOW CNN "FREEDOM EXPERT"
Mona Eltahawy: "I often compare the Muslim Brotherhood and their platform to the Christian fundamentalists in the U.S...."
Really, I see no honor killings in Christianity, no subjugation of non-Christians, and their clits are still intact. As for Mona, I can't say the same. 96% of Egyptian women have been clitordectomized. And Mona definitely has issues withher uh, not so privates.
Next to the plagiarist Jihadi Zakaria, Mona Eltahawy is a perfect sample of how CNN changed from a once-legit news source to a left-wing pro-Islam hack station. Last week they brought on the demented Russell Brand as an expert on British Muslim relations and the Turkish protests. He praised the peace and spirituality of Islam and condemned those who blamed it for Woolwich. CNN is lost .... their former MSNBC commie boss seems to want them to attract a younger audience and recruit zombies for Hilary 2016. (thanks to Armaros)

ERDOGAN AT WAR: "POLICE ENTER VERY SECULAR RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD OF CIHANGIR SPRAYING GAS"
This from an Atlas reader "P" in Turkey:
Police have come all the down Sıraselviler Caddesi (Street) from Taksim into my neighborhood, Cihangir (Jee-'hahn-geer) where a crowd of ordinary people -- many of them local, I saw several acquaintances as I walked through them on the way home from friends a few streets over at about 7:40 p.m. -- had filled the street and the center at the intersection with Akarsu Cad. The police came with a tear gas vehicle and man power enough to run through the side streets. The vehicle came on down Defterdar Yokusu and sprayed brownish looking stuff I assume was tear gas up the tiny, one block street, Altın Bilezik Sokak, and I ducked back into the lobby of my building but opened the door twice to invite people running by to come in, but they kept running up the street. A lady upstairs kept clicking the electric device that unlocks the door so fleeing people could have gotten in, but no one did.
Then as I ventured out again after a few minutes with goggles and hospital mask on, keys in one hand and camera in the other, about a dozen policemen came running around the other end of the street from one or more of the three streets that branch off from there. They were two doors away with batons in hand when I ducked back in and two of them hammered on the glass of the door motioning me out, but I ran down stairs to my basement apartment.
That all happened between 7:45 and 8:15 p.m. here. It' 8:43 now.
I've just quit trembling. It'll be a while before I venture out again.
TURKEY ENRAGED AT VATICAN FOR POPE'S REMARKS ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
Uh, Armenians are upset about the jihad slaughter of millions of Armenians. This Islamic denial of their historic bloodlust and their subsequent bullying is pure supremacism. Savage.
Do Muslims expect the sanction of their victims?
The Armenian genocide took place under Turkey's Islamic Ottoman Empire, during and after WWI. "Out of an approximate population of two million, some 1.5 million Armenians died. If early 20th century Turkey had the apparatuses and technology to execute in mass-such as 1940s Germany's gas chambers-the entire Armenian population may well have been annihilated. Most objective American historians who have studied the question unequivocally agree that it was a deliberate, calculated genocide." (more here)

Benghazi Scandal Takes Another Turn Against Obama and Clinton
It seems that in the wake of the IRS and NSA scandals that the Benghazi scandal has almost been forgotten. However the recent admission of Martin Dempsey, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, is certain to bring it all back into the limelight.
In the weeks following the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the US Consulate grounds in Benghazi, The White House and State Department both said that there were no troops or Special Forces that could have reached the consulate in time to help them, even though there were reports that said otherwise.
Now we learn that both the White House (Obama) and the State Department (Clinton) were again lying to the American people. According to a statement from Dempsey, a highly trained team of Special Forces, C-110, were within a few hours of Benghazi. The consulate reported that they were under attack early on and the attack lasted over 8 hours. If Dempsey is telling the truth, the Special Forces unit could have been there and possibly save the lives of the four Americans.
Dempsey tried to protect the White House and State Department by first saying that the Special Forces unit was more than 6 hours away and that was only if they were setting on the tarmac at the time. He did acknowledge that the unit was training in Croatia. A large commercial jet liner can make the trip in about two and half hours, and sources close to the unit said they could have loaded up and flown to Benghazi in about four to four and half hours.
He also testified that the Special Forces unit had been told to begin preparations to leave Croatia to return to the base in Germany. If that were true, then they would have already been preparing their gear for transport which would have cut their arrival time to Benghazi down.

The CNN/ORC International survey released Monday morning comes as the White House has been reacting to controversies over a massive U.S. government surveillance program; the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of tea party and other conservative groups who applied for tax-exempt status; the administration's handling of last September's attack in Benghazi that left the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans dead; and the Justice Department's secret collection of journalists' phone records as part of a government investigation into classified leaks.
The poll indicates that for the first time in Obama's presidency, half of the public says they don't believe he is honest and trustworthy. And Americans are split on the controversial National Security Agency anti-terrorism program to record metadata on U.S. phone calls, but they support the NSA program that targets records of Internet usage by people in other countries. That doesn't mean they necessarily like what is going on: Just over six in 10 believe that government is so large and powerful that it threatens the rights and freedoms of ordinary Americans...
The president's approval rating stands at 45%, down from 53% in mid-May. And 54% say they disapprove of how Obama's handling his job, up nine points from last month. It's the first time in CNN polling since November 2011 that a majority of Americans have had a negative view of the president.
"The drop in Obama's support is fueled by a dramatic 17-point decline over the past month among people under 30, who, along with black Americans, had been the most loyal part of the Obama coalition," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.
The president also dropped 10 points among independent voters, from 47% last month to 37% now, with Obama's disapproval among independents jumping 12 points to 61%.
What's behind the drop?
"It is clear that revelations about NSA surveillance programs have damaged Obama's standing with the public, although older controversies like the IRS matter may have begun to take their toll as well," adds Holland.
Hey, remember when the scandals didn't matter because they weren't affecting Obama's polling numbers?
A Foreign-Policy Shift That Obama Won't Even Personally Discuss, Much Less Explain
From 2003 to 2008, we were served up large heaping piles of crap that somehow managed to become foreign-policy conventional wisdom:
A major obstacle to the Middle East peace process was that the Bush administration wasn't making it enough of a priority.
The Iraq War was the main cause of alienation and anti-American attitudes in the Muslim world.
Greed for oil and war profiteering drove American interventions in the Middle East, not humanitarian concerns or desire to check aggressive, inherently dangerous forces.
After taking the wheel of American foreign policy, the Obama administration pushed and pushed and pushed and pushed the Israelis and Palestinians, and five years later, we see that the basic obstacle to peace - i.e., one side wants to destroy the other, and the other side refuses to accept destruction - remains. The troops are home from Iraq, and the United States is still hated in much of the Muslim world. (They actually hate us even more now in Jordan and Pakistan than during the Bush years.)
And now the United States will be sending some sort of military assistance to the Syrian rebels, finding the brutal actions of Baathist Arab dictator - including use of sarin gas - too dangerous to ignore any further.
Although apparently the president doesn't really want to do this. This weekend, the New York Times reported:
[Obama's] ambivalence about the decision seemed evident even in the way it was announced. Mr. Obama left it to a deputy national security adviser, Benjamin J. Rhodes, to declare Thursday evening that the president's "red line" on chemical weapons had been crossed and that support to the opposition would be increased. At the time, Mr. Obama was addressing a gay pride event in the East Room. On Friday, as Mr. Rhodes was again dispatched to defend the move at a briefing, the president was hosting a Father's Day luncheon in the State Dining Room.
Come on, man! Mr. President, own your decision. If you don't think this is the right decision, tell your advisers and President Clinton and McCain and Graham and everyone else that you think they're wrong, and stick by it. Don't adopt a policy that you don't really believe in just because you want the complaining to stop.
The Times continues:
Few international problems have bedeviled Mr. Obama as much as Syria and few have so challenged his desire to reduce the American footprint in the world in order to focus energies instead on what he calls "nation building here at home." As much as he wants to avoid getting entangled in what he regards as another quagmire, he finds himself confronted by a conflict that is spilling over into the region and testing American resolve.
We can reduce our footprint in the world, but that has consequences. Inaction can create blowback or unforeseen negative consequences as much as action. In Syria, that reduced American footprint means 93,000 dead and counting. Even one of Obama's former team members is starting to recognize what happens when the United States decides to withdraw from the Middle East and let the locals try to settle their differences:
Anne-Marie Slaughter, a former director of policy planning in Mr. Obama's State Department, said her onetime boss so clearly wanted to be a domestic president and yet could not remain at a distance from the Syria conflict because it could set the Middle East in flames. Already, she noted, it has helped destabilize Iraq, Lebanon and Turkey and flooded refugees into Jordan.
"I really worry this is going to be remembered as the United States standing by and watching a Middle East war ignite," said Ms. Slaughter, who will become president of the New America Foundation in Washington in September. "I fear the president thinks he can stand apart. He's the one who always says with power comes responsibility. That's his line."
First, that's not his line; that's Uncle Ben's line to Spider Man. Secondly, as we look around the world, does it look like American power has been used with great responsibility?
Stressed Workers of the World, Arianna Huffington Feels Your Pain
"The Third Metric: Redefining Success Beyond Money & Power" was the conference presented last week by Mika Brzezinski, host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," and Arianna Huffington, editor in chief of the Huffington Post, at Ms. Huffington's new apartment in TriBeCa (some 200 people squeezed into her living room).
Panels, covering topics ranging from "Managing a Frenetic Life" to "Wellness and the Bottom Line," featured a number of prominent people, among them the actress Candice Bergen and Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to President Obama.
The message, one that Ms. Huffington is promoting in her publication and in speeches, is particularly aimed at women. "The way we define success isn't working," Ms. Huffington said at the conference. "More, bigger, better - we can't do that anymore."
The concepts seem a little fuzzy at times, but the overarching thesis is that it is time to rethink the common wisdom of how to achieve success: sleep four hours a night, work 20 hours a day, see your family rarely and never admit the need for downtime.
That system is wearing us down, Ms. Huffington said. In her commencement speech this year at Smith College, she told students, "If we don't redefine success, the personal price we pay will get higher and higher. And as the data shows, the price is even higher for women than for men. Already women in stressful jobs have a nearly 40 percent increased risk of heart disease and a 60 percent greater risk for diabetes.
"Right now, America's workplace culture is practically fueled by stress, sleep deprivation and burnout," she said.
Wait . . . that Arianna Huffington? The one who runs the Huffington Post?
The Huffington Post is a brilliantly packaged product with a particular flair for addressing the cultural and entertainment tastes of its overwhelmingly liberal audience. To grasp its business model, though, you need to picture a galley rowed by slaves and commanded by pirates. Given the fact that its founder, Huffington, reportedly will walk away from this acquisition with a personal profit of as much as $100 million, it makes all the Post's raging against Wall Street plutocrats, crony capitalism and the Bush and Obama administrations' insensitivities to the middle class and the unemployed a bit much.
The fact is that AOL and the Huffington Post simply recapitulate in the new media many of the worst abuses of the old economy's industrial capitalism - the sweatshop, the speedup and piecework; huge profits for the owners; desperation, drudgery and exploitation for the workers. No child labor, yet, but if there were more page views in it . . .
You're sure we're talking about the same woman whose publication inspired this bit of Onionsatire:
Shocked and saddened witnesses at the Huffington Post's news-aggregation facility have confirmed that employee Henry Evers, 25, died Wednesday after being sucked into the website's powerful news-repurposing turbine, where his body was immediately torn to pieces.
The 200-ton content-compiling device, developed by Greek multimillionaire and site co-founder Arianna Huffington, sucks up original articles from around the web with its massive rotor assembly, re-brands them with the Huffington Post name, and then spits them back out on the company's home page...
Since The Huffington Post was founded in 2005, its headquarters has consisted of two rooms: Arianna Huffington's spacious, lavishly appointed office overlooking New York City, and the windowless 10,000-square-foot subterranean warehouse that houses the turbine. More than 700 low-wage workers, known as writers, clock in every day, and, dressed in their Huffington Post hard hats and coveralls, work in dark, unsafe conditions to ensure the machine runs smoothly and constantly churns out content.
Anyway, remember, in your most stressed moments that Arianna Huffington, powerful publisher with a net worth of approximately $115 million, wants to help you "redefine success beyond money and power."

Lois Lerner: The face of bureaucracy?
"As soon as the Constitution permitted him to run for Congress, Al Salvi did. In 1986, just 26 and fresh from the University of Illinois law school, he sank $1,000 of his own money ... into his campaign to unseat an incumbent Democratic congressman. ... He lost his campaign. Today, however, he should be invited to Congress to testify about what happened 10 years later when he was a prosperous lawyer and won the Republican Senate nomination to run against a Democratic congressman named Dick Durbin. In the fall of 1996, at the campaign's climax, Democrats filed with the Federal Elections Commission charges against Salvi's campaign, alleging campaign finance violations. These charges dominated the campaign's closing days. Salvi spoke by telephone with the head of the FEC's Enforcement Division, who he remembers saying: 'Promise me you will never run for office again, and we'll drop this case.' He was speaking to Lois Lerner. ... When the second of two federal courts held that the charges against Salvi were spurious, the lawyer arguing for the FEC was Lois Lerner. ... In 2010, Durbin wrote a letter urging Lerner's IRS division to pay special attention to a political advocacy group supporting conservatives. Lerner, it is prudent to assume, is one among thousands like her who infest the regulatory state. She is not just a bureaucratic bully and a slithering partisan. Now she also is a national security problem because she is contributing to a comprehensive distrust of government." --columnist George Will

"In keeping silent about evil, in burying it so deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface, we are implanting it, and it will rise up a thousand fold in the future. Of all the legacies of Barack Obama, the most pernicious will be the creation of a rogue government that has cut off and terrified half the population -- and for no other reason than that they seem to represent things that Mr. Obama simply does not seem to understand.
A Senate panel held a confirmation hearing Wednesday to fill the White House's post of "regulatory czar" - a powerful but little-known position charged with reviewing rules proposed by government agencies. Republicans raised concerns over "unintended consequences" of rules that may impose "burdensome" regulatory costs on the economy.

Recently, certain insurance premiums have risen dramatically. Why? Some firms say it is due to global increases in natural disasters. Perhaps more than any other sector, the insurance industry has exploited fear of natural events and climate change.

Over the course of just one month, President Obama's approval rating in the CNN/ORC poll has dropped a full 8 points to just 45%, his lowest rating in eighteen months. His disapproval rating climbed to 54%. On the all-important issue of trust, the president took a 9 point hit. Only 49% of those surveyed believe Obama is honest, his first time under 50 and the lowest level of his presidency.
In worse news, back in 2006, only 52% of Americans disapproved of how President George W. Bush handled government surveillance of Americans. Today, a full 60% disapprove of Obama on the same issue.

As the situation in Syria intensifies and the United Nations reports that 93,000 civilians have likely been killed since 2011, the United States is taking increased action. As the deadly drama progresses, it's likely that some - especially those considering Syria's Biblical and geographical location, will see the End Times prophesy unfolding. Watching Uncle Democrat scaring his Republican children with campfire ghost stories about what happens to bad little boys and girls when they don't support his agenda is painfully embarrassing and infuriating.
The script is numbingly repetitive: Child-like Republicans sit around the campfire shivering while kindly old Uncle Democrat tells them frightening stories about what will happen if they dare vote against his wishes. In a "Fort Worth-less Jim Wright" friendly, but firm tone Uncle Democrat warns his childish campers against being anything but good little Democrats.
The stories have the same themes: "If you support protecting the borders our media friends will say you hate Hispanics. Then Hispanics might never vote for you again, children."
"If you insist on investigating these silly contrived "scandals" your own base will turn on you for being embarrassingly racist."
So a week or so ago on my post on "Jay Leno For President," I noticed that frequent Power Line commenter David Hill's FB identification reads: "Works at Veridian Dynamics." No way! This is almost as good as spotting the Fred Hirsch Social Limits to Growth reference on The Big Bang Theory. Better Off Ted (the home of Veridian Dynamics) was one of my favorite short-lived shows (not as short-lived as Firefly, grump, grump), partly for its straight up satire of conglomerates like GE, as shown in this first 30-second video of their riff on the environment (sorry for the poor quality-it's the only version out there on YouTube):
But there was also the fact that the show's lead, Jay Harrington, was a doppelganger for my then boss, Arthur Brooks of AEI, including even their voices. If I ever get round to writing a sitcom about Washington think tanks, Harrington will obviously have to play Brooks. Check out 30 seconds of Harrington ("Ted") in this promo video, and then check out Arthur Brooks, and you'll see what I mean:
But wait! There's more. Hill said I was the first person ever to notice his Better Off Ted reference. But then another commenter, Philip Goerling, upped the game with a much more obscure pop culture reference, saying he'd thought about seeking a job at Yoyodyne Propulsion. Now, you have to get up pretty early in the morning to sneak a Buckaroo Bonzai reference past me. If you want to know how early in the morning, check out the green bumper sticker on my Volkswagen Eurovan:
It really shouldn't be difficult to understand Iran's presidential election, assuming you pay attention to such things. If you get your news from the mainstream media, however, it might be close to impossible to understand it. As Paul demonstrates, going a little bit out of your way online you can quickly find just about everything you need to know about the election and the winner, one Hassan Rouhani. Take, for example, Avi Isacharoff's "The regime wanted him to win."
Let there be no doubt. The Supreme Leader remains the Supreme Leader. A Western diplomat who spoke to AFP described the list of presidential candidates as "not in shades of grey, but all black" and emphasized that "all candidates with a chance of winning are either related to the leader or to the security apparatus."
A friend points out that Rouhani carries into office credentials stretching back to the Iranian revolution. He was an early follower of Ayotollah Ruhollah Khomeini. He joined Khomeini in exile in Paris and followed him into Iran. He subsequently moved through Iran's political system. He was Iran's top nuclear negotiator with the EU3 - Britain, France, and Germany - and his boasts of having prolonged those negotiations while Iran expanded its nuclear program became a key point of contention during the election.
You can take a good guess whom Prime Minister Netanyahu had in mind with his slightly more guarded reaction: "Regarding the elections in Iran, we do not delude ourselves," Netanyahu said yesterday. "The international community must not be caught up in wishful thinking and be tempted to relax the pressure on Iran to halt its nuclear program."
President Obama's approval rating is down to 45 percent, according to a CNN/ORC poll of 1,014 adult Americans. 54 percent disapprove of his job performance.
A month ago, the same pollsters found that 53 percent approved of the Obama presidency while 45 percent disapproved. Thus, his numbers have, in essence, flipped - a turnaround of 8 points if one focuses on the "approval" side.
Although the decline in Obama's approval applies pretty much across-the-board - to the economy, foreign affairs, terrorism, the deficit, illegal immigration (where he is down 40-56) - the reversal is probably best explained by the accumulation of scandals that have emerged in recent months. The number of Americans who think Obama is honest has dropped 9 points over the past month, to 49%.
As for the NSA revelations, the picture is mixed. Only 35 percent approve of the way Obama is handling "government surveillance of U.S. citizens," compared to 61 percent who disapprove. But 51 percent say he was "right" in "gathering and analyzing information on the phone calls of most Americans in an attempt to locate suspected terrorists." Forty-eight percent say he was "wrong" to do this.
The concept, it appears, is considered less offensive than its execution by this president. President Bush fared somewhat better on both of these questions when they were asked in mid-2006. Miss him yet?
Obama's most dramatic loss of approval has occurred among adults under the age of 30. He experienced a jaw-dropping 17 point decline among this cohort in just one month.
I bet the decline was even steeper among those recent Ohio State grads whom he urged to trust the government.
Young voters tend to be volatile voters. They also seem to have a libertarian streak. And, of course, they are only just beginning to encounter the real world in which they hope to thrive during the coming, challenging decades.
These Millennials are the answer to the following question that so preoccupies the Republican establishment these days: how can the Republicans ever win the presidency again without increasing their appeal to Hispanics?
The Washington Examiner reports that Speaker Boehner will not bring a comprehensive immigration-reform plan to the floor if a majority of Republicans don't support it. This is normal Republican policy in the House (it's known as the Hastert Rule). I had speculated, however, that Boehner might waive the rule in the case of immigration reform legislation by applying a lower threshold, say one-third support.
The Examiner reporter, David Drucker, cites multiple sources for his report, including Rep. Tom Cole. From what I've heard, Drucker, whose wife is the NRCC finance director, tends to have reliable GOP sources.
Boehner, of course, is not bound by what unnamed aides are telling reporters. Moreover, his views may be less categorical than the Examiner story implies. He may, in other words, be leaving more wiggle room than has come through "in translation."
But there is an underlying political reality that may be driving Boehner toward strict adherence to the Hastert Rule when it comes to immigration. As one of Drucker's sources notes, House Republicans are likely to suffer a greater voter backlash in the 2014 elections if they back the wrong immigration reform bill than if they simply do nothing on the issue.
Many in the Republican establishment believe that doing nothing is a formula for losing national election after national election. But this though need not induce panic among individual House members who are focused on 2014. All of them were elected in a year when the Hispanic vote overwhelmingly favored Democrats and and turned out in record numbers.
UPDATE: Here's one bit of potential "wiggle room" I see for Boehner. The House passes immigration reform legislation that falls far short of what the Senate has passed and what the Senate Dems (plus Rubio, Graham, et al) deem acceptable. In conference, the Republicans cave. The House leadership then insists that there be an up-or-down vote now that the bill is back from conference.
In this scenario, the Senate Dems (plus Rubio, Graham, et al) get their amnesty legislation through the House with only a fairly low level of GOP support.
In "The other IRS scandal" John took a look at the IRS treatment of pro-Israel charities. The experience of some pro-Israel groups suggested that they had been subject to harassing and discriminatory treatment based on their support of policies that conflict with those of the Obama administration. John called for The House committees that looking into the IRS scandal to put this topic high on their agenda.
My daughter Eliana advances the story a bit further in "The IRS vs. pro-Israel groups." Moving beyond the complaints of pro-Israel groups themselves to testimony from the IRS itself, Eliana reports:
Applications of pro-Israel groups for tax-exempt status are routinely routed to an antiterrorism unit within the Internal Revenue Service for additional screening, according to the testimony of a Cincinnati-based IRS agent.
Asked whether Jewish or pro-Israel applications are treated differently from other applications, Gary Muthert told House Oversight Committee investigators that they are considered "specialty cases" and that "probably" all are sent to an IRS unit that examines groups for potential terrorist ties.
Muthert's testimony lumps pro-Israel groups into the same basket as all groups with any "foreign activity." Yet no pro-Israel group has been associated with terrorism. That remains the domain of such terrorist front groups as the Holy Land Foundation and its unindicted co-conspirators including CAIR and ISNA. I wrote about CAIR's appearance in the case against the Holy Land Foundation in "Coming clean about CAIR."
An open question remains. Has Obama's IRS applied similar scrutiny to pro-Palestinian groups? In August 2010 the Treasury Department issued a statement marking the beginning of Ramadan with these evocative paragraphs:
The Treasury Department fully supports the ability of American Muslims - and Muslims worldwide - to fulfill their religious obligations through charitable giving and seeks to advance charitable giving at home and abroad, while protecting the charitable sector from the threat posed by those who seek to abuse this sacred obligation. In recent years, Treasury has strengthened its partnership with the charitable sector and donor community to promote transparency and to safeguard against such abuse.
The Treasury Department will continue to work closely with the charitable sector and Muslim American communities to promote our common goals of safe and effective charitable activity and to protect the sector from exploitation by terrorist organizations. We look forward to the continued development of this partnership.
Obama himself vowed to work with Muslims in the United States to facilitate "zakat" (Islamic charitable giving, under which such outfits as the Holy Land Foundation had operated) in his Cairo speech. Has the IRS treated Muslim charities on par with pro-Israel charities? It seems absurd that they should be treated similarly, but one wonders whether they have achieved this level of parity in the Age of Obama.

A Summer Of Discontent?
According to the latest CNN poll, President Obama's approval rating has fallen eight points in the past month. Forty-five percent of the country approves of Obama's job performance, while 54% disapproves. Last month the numbers were essentially reversed with 54% approving and 45% disapproving. And it's hard to find much good news for the president based on this survey. For example:
Americans disapprove of Obama's handling of the economy by a 15-point margin (42% to 57%).
They disapprove of his handling of foreign affairs by a 10-point margin (44% to 54%).
On immigration, Obama is down 16 points (40% to 56%).
On his handling of the deficit, he's down a whopping 30 points (34% to 64%).
And just 35% of Americans approve of the way Obama has handled the government's surveillance of U.S. citizens, while 61% disapprove.
When asked whether they felt Obama was "honest and trustworthy," Americans were divided with 49% saying yes and 50% saying no. That's a big change from one month ago, when the numbers were overwhelmingly in his favor -- 58% to 41%.
A month ago Americans were divided -- 48% to 50% -- on whether Obama shared their views on the "size and power of government." But now, 57% of Americans do not believe Obama shares their views on the size and power of government.
Moreover, 62% of Americans agreed with the statement "the federal government has become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens." Far from living up to the hype about hope and change, Americans increasingly fear the government under Obama.
Here's one more point to consider: CNN found that among Americans 30 years old and younger, Obama experienced a massive 17-point drop in support. Are we to conclude that America's youth, who had been among Obama's most loyal supporters, suddenly became racist? Of course not. But it exposes the left's hypocrisy when it cries "RACISM!" anytime someone questions Obama's bad ideas.
CBS: Tea Party Just Like Radical Iranians
Iranians elected a new president this weekend, Hassan Rowhani. Virtually every media report describes Rowhani as a "moderate." Just to be clear, the real "power" in Iran is held by Ayatollah Khamenei, who is known as the "Supreme Leader."
Khamenei controls everything, including Iran's nuclear policy. And in case there was any confusion, Rowhani pledged his allegiance to Iran's nuclear program, adding, "The Iranian nation has done nothing to deserve sanctions."
Rowhani may be less prone to making incendiary comments about "wiping Israel off the map." But he is no moderate. In fact, he was once part of Ayatollah Khomeini's inner circle during the latter's exile in France prior to the 1979 Islamic revolution in Tehran.
If that grossly misleading description wasn't bad enough, one CBS reporter compared the Iranian presidential candidates to members of the Tea Party. Here's how Elizabeth Palmer described the Iranian election:
"Well, [Hassan Rowhani] was seen as the most reform-minded of all the candidates who ran this time. That being said, they were all very conservative. In U.S. terms, it was as if all the candidates for the presidency came from the Tea Party."
Talk about media bias! In the minds of America's left-wing media, Iran's Shiite radicals are the equivalent of the Tea Party. On Fox & Friends this morning, Sarah Palin said, "Okay, Elizabeth, you just put the BS in CBS."
GOP's Fissures On Display
The fissures within the Republican Party were on display at last week's Faith & Freedom Coalition conference. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie chose not to attend the conference, opting instead to spend the day with Bill Clinton. Go figure.
Before I spoke, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush took the podium and made headlines for his rather unusual argument in support of the quasi-amnesty bill now before Congress. According to Bush, conservatives should support the Senate's immigration reform bill because, "Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families, and they have more intact families..."
I commend Bush for implying that intact families are something this country needs more of. On that point we agree.
I often get emails from readers insisting that we can compete for Hispanics votes based on pro-family, values-based issues. Unfortunately, many GOP elites are demanding that we must stop talking about those very issues! How can you appeal to minority voters on life and marriage if you don't talk about life and marriage?
Moreover, Hispanics are overwhelmingly supportive of Big Government, especially Obamacare. Trying to sell immigration reform to conservatives by suggesting we need to welcome liberal voters who are likely to make even more liberal voters seems bizarre to me.
But Bush's claim that Hispanics have more intact families is arguable. Compared to what? A majority of Hispanic children (53%) are born out of wedlock. And government data has linked poverty to out-of-wedlock births. More out-of-wedlock births and higher poverty generally leads to more demands for government benefits.
All this is to suggest that as we work to win key elections in 2014 and 2016, the kind of party the GOP will be the next time it has a chance to govern again is very much in doubt.
"A Salute To Dad"
I hope all you dads had a great Father's Day weekend. I certainly did. It is a poignant holiday, because homes with children are increasingly fatherless. Yesterday I had a column in Politico, and today in the Washington Times, on the importance of fathers and strong families.
I got a chance this weekend to offer a brief tribute to my father. The opportunity came about when CNN's Candy Crowley decided to highlight the fathers of some leading political figures, including Colin Powell and Nancy Pelosi, and invited me to be part of her "A Salute To Dad" segment. You can watch the brief video here.
Famous REPUBLICAN unloads on Marco Rubio
While many consisder Marco Rubio to be one of the powerhouse names for the future of the Republican Party, at least one famous member of the GOP is slamming the Florida senator big-time.
Look who has the guts to rip apart Marco, and take part in WND's brand-new poll about Rubio while you're at it ...
This week, the House is scheduled to support President Obama's stimulus plan by voting in favor of more than $750 billion in food stamp spending.
It's not in the headlines, of course. And that's exactly what the big-government politicians in the House want. They want you to focus on everything else Washington is doing, not that they're planning to pass a nearly $1 trillion food stamp and farm bill.
We're on the offense, pushing back against this disastrous bill AND the Senate's massive amnesty bill. Washington doesn't think you can walk and chew gum at the same time. During weeks like these we need eyes in the backs of our heads.
We'll keep you posted on developments from the House and Senate floors. Rest assured that your calls this week will make a difference. Our team is working 24/7 to ensure you are breaking through Washington's shell game.

Kline and Rokita Unveil Rewrite of No Child Left Behind By Lindsey Burke
House Education and the Workforce Committee chairman John Kline (R-MN) and Representative Todd Rokita (R-IN) have introduced the Student Success Act (SSA)-a proposal to rewrite No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
While restoring excellence in education will require more than a fix to the bureaucratic NCLB, Kline's proposal makes some improvements to existing statute. But as we wrote last week, conservatives in Congress should work to allow states to completely opt-out of NCLB while eliminating federal programs that are ineffective and duplicative, not just try to solve the multitude of problems that plague the massive NCLB.
New York and Kentucky have begun testing based on the new Common Core education standards, and they are quickly seeing frustration among educators, parents, and students.
"South Carolina faces challenges in its education system that are unique and unlike those in other states. Instead of being forced to adopt blanket standards like Common Core as a prerequisite for funding, let's put decision-making back in the hands of parents and teachers in our communities."
-Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC)

Sen. Cornyn Makes Play with Border Amendment
Texas' senior Republican Senator, John Cornyn, has quickly emerged as the key negotiator in the passage of the Gang of Eight's amnesty bill. Offering a 134-page amendment to address the bill's lack of border security measures, the second-ranking Senate Republican has announced that if the Senate adopts his amendment, he will vote for the Gang of Eight's amnesty legislation.
The Senate rejected a key border security amendment to the Gang of Eight's "comprehensive" immigration reform bill (S. 744). The amendment, authored by Senator Chuck Grassley would have prohibited the Secretary of DHS from granting illegal aliens amnesty until the Secretary has maintained effective control of the border for at least six months.
Rubio Fails to Justify Vote Against Grassley Amendment
Senator Marco Rubio last week scrambled to explain his decision to vote against a key border security amendment offered by Senator Grassley to the Gang of Eight amnesty bill (S.744). The Grassley Amendment would have simply provided that DHS could not begin processing amnesty applications until the border has been under effective control for at least six months.
Illegal Aliens File Lawsuits in Nebraska Demanding Driver's Licenses
Illegal aliens have recently filed two lawsuits in Nebraska challenging the State's policy of denying driver's licenses to illegal aliens, specifically Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients. Under DACA, applicants who are approved may also obtain work authorization.

Glenn, Ann Coulter, and 80% of America agree - No Amnesty
Glenn spoke with the always outspoken Ann Coulter on radio this morning about the GOP's push for an amnesty bill. Coulter says the GOP elite are worried about missing out on a 'vote bonanza' if they fail to pass a bill. Check out the rest of the interview.
Glenn: The immigration bill threatens America's principles
Glenn argued that the country does not survive the Immigration bill being pushed by the 'Gang of Eight' because it targets those who aren't coming here to be Americans. Nowhere in any of the debates on the issue is anyone talking about American principles and what it really means to be an American. Glenn explains why that's so dangerous on radio today - WATCH
