There's a disturbing report coming out of Philadelphia, as it's been confirmed that New Black Panthers are, once again, outside of a polling place - the same location they stood at, batons in hand, back in 2008 (the address is 12 and Fairmount, Ward 14).

TheBlaze originally received the following image of one of one alleged Panthers outside of the station via e-mail this morning, then FOX News confirmed their presence in a subsequent report with video.

While troubling, this development may not be entirely surprising. In a September 2012 radio interview, the Black Panthers national chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz claimed that his group may, once again, take to the polling stations on election day.

"I will say that as this election comes up in November, we will consider our options," Shabazz said during his interview with WABC. "And we will consider the fact whether we will legally and lawfully go to the polls again to make sure there is no intimidation against our people, which was our intent in 2008."

During the interview with "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio," the Panthers leader also noted that his organization was not found to be unlawful in the actions that they took in 2008. Thus, taking similar actions again in 2012, in his view, wouldn't be problematic.

"We will be there. I mean, if we are there. If. We are not saying we will be there or not," Shabazz said in his September interview. "But whatever we will do, it will be legal and lawful under the Constitution of the United States."

Last month, the New York Times informed America that the Obama administration has been running secret talks with Iran in order to facilitate a working relationship once tomorrow's election is over. Official disavowals were not long in coming, even as off the record sources confirmed that the talks were taking place.

 Just hours before voters go to the polls in the battleground state of Nevada, a national group has announced it plans to file a complaint regarding illegal immigrants purportedly being allowed to vote.
 
ALIPAC, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, based in Raleigh, N.C., sent the Nevada secretary of state an email outlining its intention.
 
"We want to stop the felonious thefts of American elections," says William Gheen, ALIPAC's president.
 
Gheen points to a commentary published in Sunday's Las Vegas Review Journal. In it, editorial writer Glenn Cook accuses the Culinary Union 226 of knowingly registering illegal immigrants and then pressured them to vote.
 
Cook quotes an unidentified illegal immigrant who is on the Clark County voter rolls. The person claims a union representative told them they were "in so much trouble" for refusing to vote.

A group of Special Forces veterans who are determined to prevent voter intimidation in Philadelphia have been dubbed Seal Team November 6. The former Navy Seals, Army Rangers, Green Berets, and Delta Force members reportedly want to make sure that there is not a repeat of the Black Panthers alleged intimidation of voters on Tuesday.

Former Navy Captain Benjamin Brink had this to say about the group's plans on Election Day:

"The nation saw the video of members of the Black Panthers in Philadelphia intimidating people trying to vote in 2008. We are going to try and make certain that nothing like that happens this year."

You've cast your vote page by page. You get to the summary of all your votes at the end of the electronic voting process. BUT YOU SEE THAT THE MACHINE HAS FLIPPED YOUR VOTES OR RECORDED THE WRONG VOTES!!!

1. Do not panic; it happens, especially if you've voted quickly (like typing too fast on Facebook).
2. Call for one of the poll workers to come over because your machine has made an error.
3. Show the poll worker what's happened.
4. The poll worker will ask you to try again to see if the machine repeats the error.
5. If it does NOT repeat the error, press the "cast ballot" button and finish voting.
6. If it DOES repeat the error, insist on having the poll supervisor come over. With the original poll worker helper present explain what's happened. Tell the supervisor you want this machine taken offline and you want to vote on a machine that's working properly.
7. The poll supervisor will have to cancel your voting "booth" before doing anything else.
8. Then the supervisor will take the machine offline (disconnect it from the daisy chain of machines).
9. The poll supervisor will re-issue the code you need to vote.
10. Go through the process again.

DO NOT take a photo of the machine or of anything in the polling area. In almost every state this is ILLEGAL and can get you thrown out of the poll without being able to vote.

If the poll supervisor DOES NOT follow the above steps, insist that he/she call the county/municipal election authority and let you speak with them. (That's your right as a voter.)

Get them to direct the poll supervisor to take the correct actions. If they won't help, ask for the toll free number to your state Secretary of State. Call them and ask them to resolve the problem.

If they won't help call 855-444-6100. That's the True the Vote hotline. But DON'T CALL that line until AFTER you've tried the county/municipal authority AND the Secretary of State. We have lawyers standing by to help.
Please only call if YOU are the person to whom this happens. NOBODY can take 2nd or 3rd hand reports and take action.

Mitt Romney is campaigning in Pennsylvania in the final days before the 2012 election, holding such a packed rally Sunday night that one Twitter user labeled it a "Republican Woodstock."

There are only estimates of the crowd size, but some reports put the number as high as 30,000.

Individual, Community, and State: How to Think About Religious Freedom

MATTHEW J. FRANCK is the director of the William E. and Carol G. Simon Center on Religion and the Constitution at the Witherspoon Institute and professor emeritus of political science at Radford University. THERE IS A GROWING awareness among Americans that religious freedom in our country has come under sustained pressures. In the public square where freedom of religion meets public policy, it becomes clearer all the time that there is a high price to be paid for being true to one's conscience. This is no tale of Chicken Little-although a chain of chicken sandwich restaurants based in Atlanta is part of the story. Let me give you a few examples.

In our universities, those citadels of toleration, we find that toleration can be sharply limited. At the Hastings College of Law in San Francisco, the student chapter of the Christian Legal Society was denied any status on the campus because it would not abandon its requirement that members commit themselves to traditional Christian norms regarding sexual morality. The U.S. Supreme Court, in a 5-4 ruling in 2010, held that the student group's rights were not violated by a "take all comers" policy. Following this lead, Vanderbilt University has rewritten its student organizations policy and effectively chased every traditionally Christian student group off campus, denying them regular access to campus facilities. And at the University of Illinois, an adjunct professor of religion, hired to teach a course on Catholicism, was let go because a student complained about his patient explanation of the Catholic Church's natural law teachings on human sexuality. (He was later restored to his teaching duties, but at the expense of the Newman Center, not on the state payroll.)

Is America Exceptional?

NORMAN PODHORETZ served as editor-in-chief of Commentary magazine from 1960-1995. He was a Pulitzer Scholar at Columbia University, earning his bachelor of arts degree in 1950. He also holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Cambridge University, England, where he was a Fulbright Scholar and a Kellett Fellow. In addition, he has a bachelor's degree in Hebrew Literature from the Jewish Theological Seminary. He has written for most major American periodicals and is the author of twelve books, including My Love Affair With America and Why Are Jews Liberals?

The following is adapted from a speech delivered on September 20, 2012, in Washington, D.C., at Hillsdale College's third annual Constitution Day Dinner.

ONCE UPON A TIME, hardly anyone dissented from the idea that, for better or worse, the United States of America was different from all other nations. This is not surprising, since the attributes that made it different were vividly evident from the day of its birth. Let me say a few words about three of them in particular.

First of all, unlike all other nations past or present, this one accepted as a self-evident truth that all men are created equal. What this meant was that its Founders aimed to create a society in which, for the first time in the history of the world, the individual's fate would be determined not by who his father was, but by his own freely chosen pursuit of his own ambitions. In other words, America was to be something new under the sun: a society in which hereditary status and class distinctions would be erased, leaving individuals free to act and to be judged on their merits alone. There remained, of course, the two atavistic contradictions of slavery and the position of women; but so intolerable did these contradictions ultimately prove that they had to be resolved-even if, as in the case of the former, it took the bloodiest war the nation has ever fought.

Secondly, in all other countries membership or citizenship was a matter of birth, of blood, of lineage, of rootedness in the soil. Thus, foreigners who were admitted for one reason or another could never become full-fledged members of the society. But America was the incarnation of an idea, and therefore no such factors came into play. To become a full-fledged American, it was only necessary to pledge allegiance to the new Republic and to the principles for which it stood.

Thirdly, in all other nations, the rights, if any, enjoyed by their citizens were conferred by human agencies: kings and princes and occasionally parliaments. As such, these rights amounted to privileges that could be revoked at will by the same human agencies. In America, by contrast, the citizen's rights were declared from the beginning to have come from God and to be "inalienable"-that is, immune to legitimate revocation.

Most Biblically Hostile U.S. President

The following list shows that Barack Obama is possibly the most Biblically hostile President of all time. Seeing these facts laid out in one list is pretty astonishing.

1.   Acts of Hostility Toward People Of Biblical Faith:

  a. April 2008 - Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they "cling to guns or religion" and have an "antipathy to people who aren't like them." 
b. February 2009 - Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protection for health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against their beliefs and fully implements the plan in February 2011.

c. April 2009 - Speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus' name be covered when he is making his speech.

d. May 2009 - Obama declines to host services at White House for the National Prayer Day (established by federal law).

e. April 2009 - In a deliberate act of disrespect, Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three.

f. October 19, 2010 - Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about "the Creator" when quoting the Declaration of Independence - an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions.

g. November 2010 - Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is "E pluribus unum" rather than "In God We Trust" as established by federal law.

h. January 2011 - After a federal law was passed to transfer a WWI Memorial in the Mojave Desert to private ownership, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the cross in the memorial could continue to stand, but the Obama administration refused to allow the land to be transferred as required by law and refuse to allow the cross to be re-erected as ordered by the Court.

g. February 2012 - The U. S. Military Academy at West Point dis-invites three star Army general and decorated war hero Lieutenant General William G. ("Jerry") Boykin (retired) from speaking at an event because he is an outspoken Christian.

h. February 2012 - The Air Force removes "God" from the patch of Rapid Capabilities Office (the word on the patch was in Latin: Dei).

i. February 2012 - The Army orders Catholic chaplains not to read a letter to parishioners that their archbishop asked them to read.

Sheldon G. Adelson: I Didn't Leave the Democrats. They Left Me

There is an anti-Israel movement among the rank and file, and the party no longer appears to value self-reliance, charity and accountability.

When members of the Democratic Party booed the inclusion of God and Jerusalem in their party platform this year, I thought of my parents.

They would have been astounded.

The immigrant family in which I grew up was, in the matter of politics, typical of the Jews of Boston in the 1930s and '40s. Of the two major parties, the Democrats were in those days the more supportive of Jewish causes.

Indeed, only liberal politicians campaigned in our underprivileged neighborhood. Boston's Republicans, insofar as we knew them, were remote, wealthy elites ("Boston Brahmins"), some of whose fancy country clubs didn't accept Jews.

It therefore went without saying that we were Democrats. Like most Jews around the country, being Democrat was part of our identity, as much a feature of our collective personality as our religion.

So why did I leave the party?

My critics nowadays like to claim it's because I got wealthy or because I didn't want to pay taxes or because of some other conservative caricature. No, the truth is the Democratic Party has changed in ways that no longer fit with someone of my upbringing.

One obvious example is the party's new attitude toward Israel. A sobering Gallup poll from last March asked: "Are your sympathies more with the Israelis or more with the Palestinians?" Barely 53% of Democrats chose Israel, the sole liberal democracy in the region. By contrast, an overwhelming 78% of Republicans sympathized with Israel.

Nowhere was this change in Democratic sympathies more evident than in the chilling reaction on the floor of the Democratic convention in September when the question of Israel's capital came up for a vote. Anyone who witnessed the delegates' angry screaming and fist-shaking could see that far more is going on in the Democratic Party than mere opposition to citing Jerusalem in their platform. There is now a visceral anti-Israel movement among rank-and-file Democrats, a disturbing development that my parents' generation would not have ignored.

Another troubling change is that Democrats seem to have moved away from the immigrant values of my old neighborhood-in particular, individual charity and neighborliness. After studying tax data from the IRS, the nonpartisan Chronicle of Philanthropy recently reported that states that vote Republican are now far more generous to charities than those voting Democratic. In 2008, the seven least-generous states all voted for President Obama. My father, who kept a charity box for the poor in our house, would have frowned on this fact about modern Democrats.

Democrats would reply that taxation and government services are better vehicles for helping the underprivileged. And, yes, government certainly has its role. But when you look at states where Democrats have enjoyed years of one-party dominance-California, Illinois, New York-you find that their liberal policies simply don't deliver on their promises of social justice.

Take, for example, President Obama's adopted home state. In October, a nonpartisan study of Illinois's finances by the State Budget Crisis Task Force offered painful evidence that liberal Illinois is suffering from abject economic, demographic and social decline. With the worst credit rating in the country, and with the second-biggest public debt per capita, the Prairie State "has been doing back flips on a high wire, without a net," according to the report.

Political scientist Walter Russell Mead summed up the sad results of these findings at The American Interest: "Illinois politicians, including the present president of the United States, have wrecked one of the country's potentially most prosperous and dynamic states, condemned millions of poor children to substandard education, failed to maintain vital infrastructure, choked business development and growth through unsustainable tax and regulatory policies-and still failed to appease the demands of the public sector unions and fee-seeking Wall Street crony capitalists who make billions off the state's distress."

At times, it seems almost as if President Obama wants to impose the failed Illinois model on the whole country. Each year of his presidency has produced unsustainable deficits, and he takes no responsibility for his spending. Worse still, unemployment has become chronic, and many Americans have given up on looking for work.

Whenever President Obama deplores the wealthy ("fat-cat bankers," "millionaires and billionaires," "at a certain point you've made enough money," and so on), it tells me that he has failed to learn the economic lessons of Illinois, and that he still doesn't understand the vital role entrepreneurs play in creating jobs in our society.

As a person who has been able to rise from poverty to affluence, and who has created jobs and work benefits for tens of thousands of families, I feel obligated to speak up and support the American ideals I grew up with-charity, self-reliance, accountability. These are the age-old virtues that help make our communities prosperous. Yet, sadly, the Democratic Party no longer seems to value them as it once did. That's why I switched parties, and why I'm now giving amply to Republicans.

Although I don't agree with every Republican position-I'm liberal on several social issues-there is enough common cause with the party for me to know I've made the right choice.

It's the choice that, I believe, my old immigrant Jewish neighbors would have made. They would not have let a few disagreements with Republicans void the importance of siding with the political party that better supports liberal democracies like Israel, the party that better exemplifies the spirit of charity, and the party with economic policies that would certainly be better for those Americans now looking for work.

The Democratic Party just isn't what it used to be.

BREAKING: CBS News suppressed 60 Minutes video to protect Obama on Benghazi, Libya

There's no way to spin this - it's pure, unadulterated, blatantly obvious media bias, in which information extremely damaging to Barack Obama was kept from the public, to protect the President at a moment of crisis.

CBS News has finally revealed the full contents of the interview Barack Obama gave to Steve Kroft of "60 Minutes" on September 12, 2012 - the day after the terrorist attack in Benghazi, which the President and his people would go on to misrepresent as a "spontaneous protest" for weeks, in addition to stonewalling every inquiry into their handling of consular security before and during the attack.

CBS kept crucial moments from the discussion of Benghazi in this interview buried for five weeks, at which point they released a section that many observers thought was damaging to Obama, but others cited as evidence that he wasn't really lying about the nature of the attack, because he always knew it was a terrorist strike. (Why anyone would think that an unaired interview segment nobody outside of CBS News saw would somehow exonerate Obama from charges of lying to the public remains a mystery.)

But it turns out CBS was still playing games. They withheld one more little snippet of that interview until yesterday, and the last piece of the puzzle invalidates efforts to use the previous dribbles of information from the "60 Minutes" memory hole to build an "Obama always said this was terrorism" narrative. America is a seething hotbed of "Islamophobia," filled with ignorant racist rubes who irrationally fear the benign Muslim religion, according to the Obama administration's lead investigator into the Benghazi atrocities.

So said former Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering in more polished, diplomatic language during an Oct. 23 panel discussion at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. The talk was on "what role the faith community can play in fighting Islamophobia," a make-believe mental illness that Islamists would love to have listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Radical Islam's stateside defenders frequently accuse anti-terrorism hawks of "McCarthyism," hurling the epithet "Islamophobe" the same way American leftists use the word "racist" to shut down debate.

Pickering's pontifications came two and a half weeks after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton named him to head a State Department "Accountability Review Board" tasked with examining the circumstances surrounding the deaths on Sept. 11, 2012, the 11^th anniversary of 9/11, of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, information management officer Sean Smith, and security personnel Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods at the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya.

At last week's panel discussion, Pickering piously but incorrectly invoked the Holocaust to argue that American Muslims were somehow in danger.

"I'm not great at quotations," he said, foreshadowing a misattribution to come.

"Perhaps it was [German theologian and dissident] Dietrich Bonhoeffer who said of the Nazis, when they came for the Jews, I didn't speak up. I was not a Jew. When they came for the Catholics, I didn't speak up, I was not a Catholic. When they came for us, no one spoke up. There was no one left to do so," Pickering said, paraphrasing famous, poignant verses actually spoken by Third Reich-era German pastor Martin Niemoller.

Pickering said that Americans' lack of familiarity with Islam -and not Islamic terrorist attacks on Americans- fuels hostility toward Muslims.  "Data shows that those Americans who do not know Muslims, who do not know much about Islam, are the ones who harbor the greatest feelings of prejudice," he said.  There is a "strong, continuing, and perhaps, in an unfortunate way in some areas, growing, prejudice against Muslims and Islam," he said.

However, he added that veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have so far avoided embracing this anti-Islamic bigotry. "Many of the soldiers are still serving and I think that also is helpful because they understand that as loyal Americans that kind of prejudice is not to be expressed."

Pickering urged what might amount to a zero-tolerance policy against so-called Islamophobes in American society. "There are strong efforts as well that we must make to deal with opinion leaders who harbor these prejudices, who espouse them and spread them," he said.

Although the former envoy did not elaborate on what those "strong efforts" might consist of, his statement is worrisome. The Obama administration is openly hostile to the First Amendment.

The tea party, at least its widespread influence on Republican congressional candidates, "is over," declared the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the party group charged with electing Democrats to the House.

"House Republican incumbents-and their candidates-are running as far away from the Tea Party as they can," a pre-election DCCC memo provided to Yahoo News reads. "Regardless of whether [Republicans] win or lose, the Tea Party of 2010 is over. They've been forced on defense in the message fight all cycle long, and now those who win will have done so by giving up on the Tea Party."
 
The memo argues that Republican lawmakers who arose from the tea party are now promoting bipartisanship and willingness to compromise in their re-election bids instead of embracing the hard-line messages that propelled their campaigns two years ago.

COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY: 1 DAY TO THE 2012 ELECTIONS -- 55 DAYS TO TAXMAGEDDON


Get Out The Vote!

With just hours before Election Day, almost every national poll shows the race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney neck and neck. It is the same in virtually every key swing state too. Turnout will be critical.

In these final hours, please make one last effort to contact all your like-minded friends and family members and urge them to vote tomorrow.

Make one more phone call tonight to someone who might be on the fence. Please talk to your adult children and grandchildren. Many young adults were swept up in the hype four years ago. Today they are disappointed with the results. If Obama is reelected, there is no reason to expect the next four years will be any better.

As Carol suggested in her Prayer Alert this morning, offer to take someone to the polls with you. Ask your co-workers tomorrow whether they have voted. Call your church list too. Post a message on Facebook urging friends to vote for Romney/Ryan.

There is too much at stake tomorrow to take anything for granted.


A Request

We will provide periodic reports throughout the day tomorrow letting you know what we are hearing in the nation's capital. I also want to hear from you!

I know many of you have voted early. But if you are going to the polls tomorrow, please take a few minutes to let me know what you saw at your precinct. If you live in a conservative area, how long did you have to wait to cast your ballot? What were the lines like compared to 2008?

Even if you are in a liberal stronghold, I'd still appreciate your reaction. Was the liberal base in your area turning out?

What was the mood like? Was there any chatter about the candidates from the folks in line? Was there a heavy presence by volunteers of either campaign or party?

Obama Wants Revenge?

At a campaign rally in Ohio Friday, Barack Obama told his supporters that "Voting is the best revenge." What a bizarre thing to say! Revenge for what? It's also dangerous advice for Barack Obama to be giving any voter.

If anybody should be voting out of revenge, it should be the millions of Americans who are unemployed because of Obama's policies. It should be the millions of Americans who believed Barack Obama when he said he would transcend partisanship and work to heal racial wounds.

If anybody should be voting out of revenge, it should be the voters who believed Barack Obama in 2008 when he said that marriage was between a man and woman only to betray them four years later. Or Catholic voters who supported Obama in 2008 only to see Obamacare threaten the existence of Catholic hospitals and charities.

If anybody should be voting out of revenge, it should be the American taxpayers who are six trillion dollars more in debt than they were in 2008!

I'm not surprised that Obama thought he could fire up his base with such divisive rhetoric. The American left is an increasingly intolerant and bitter movement.

But folks with our values don't vote with "revenge" as our motive or inspiration. As Mitt Romney said over the weekend in response to Obama's angry message, we vote because we are motivated by love for our country!
