The inaugural CHC International CIC3* took place this past weekend and Lauren Kieffer is causing a serious shortage in the blue ribbon inventory around the country as she and Team Rebecca's Veronica won their second event within a week's time. The trip was a last-minute change to Lauren's schedule with Veronica as the pair was initially thought to be qualified for the three-star level. The new FEI qualification rules required the pair to adjust their schedule, and Veronica seemed to have little trouble while Lauren took her time cross-country in consideration of running two events back-to-back.

Buck Davidson won the CCI2* on Sharon Will's No More Rocks before heading off to France, where he is joining Hannah Sue Burnett, Will Faudree and Marilyn Little for the CCI3* at Saumur. Clayton Fredericks took the CCI1* aboard the German-bred Catchascatchcan. Huge props to Michael Pollard, Hugh Lochore, Carl Bouckaet and the rest of their team for a fantastic new event that will only grow in the years to come!

Samantha Clark and Jessica Montgomery are joined by Ireland's Austin O'Connor and his American-born, Ireland-based owner Kate Jervey this week on the Eventing Radio Show. Lauren Kieffer will also be on, as well as Laine Ashker and Alison Stackpoole who continue their serial on OTTB retraining.
