Oakley Police Department First Anniversary
This past weekend marked a special anniversary for the Oakley Police Department. On Saturday, the Department celebrated its one year anniversary as an in-house police department (separate from the Sheriff's Office). Because of the tireless effort, dedication and hard work of so many, the transition has been smooth and very successful. Chief Chris Thorsen commented, "Our success is due to each of Oakley's officers and the civilian staff that work so hard every shift, every day and every week to serve the residents of the community. To continue our success, we must continue these diligent efforts each day." Congratulations, Oakley PD and thank you for making Oakley an even safer place to live!
