Firefighters Saved my Baby Girl!
Time and time again we hear of heartwarming and miraculous stories of firefighters and other first responders rescuing our loved ones.

As a part of the City of Oakley's efforts to inform voters about Measures E & G on the upcoming ballot, we're planning to post a series of real-life stories that demonstrate the great work done by those that provide us fire protection and emergency medical services. If you are interested in sharing your story of how first responders have helped you, your loved ones, neighbors and other friends, please email us at: [email protected]

Oakley Synchronizes Intersections- More to Come
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) has granted funds to the City of Oakley to synchronize five intersections in the FY 2015-2016 cycle of the Program for Arterial System Synchronization (PASS).  This project included installation of GPS clocks to synchronize the signals at high peak periods of the day.  Signal timing was reviewed and optimized to handle the traffic volumes during four peak traffic periods: morning peak, midday peak, school release peak, and afternoon peak.  Pedestrian crossing time was also evaluated to meet the most current Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices Standards.
