Public Works Week Celebrate By Staff & Students
The City of Oakley's Public Works Week Open House happened this past Tuesday at the Civic Center. Two neighboring elementary schools attended the event to get an up close view of the Public Work's operation.

The objective of the event was to increase public awareness of the contributions made by our community's public works professionals; as well as to enlighten and educate our local school children about the City's Public Works Department including their duties, practices, and goals. This event brought some fun education to the Oakley Community and helped educate local children as to how we maintain and improve public facilities and provide services vital to the Oakley health, safety and comfort. Check out photos of the event on our flickr.
