Strategic Planning Meeting Recap
Tuesday, April 19th the City of Oakley held a Community wide Strategic Planning Meeting to consult with residents about Oakley's future direction. Mayor Romick opened the event saying, this year's process is different in that it included residents. "Tonight you will be doing what the Council does, evaluate the goal, brainstorm action items to accomplish the goal, and then prioritize those ideas."  He added, "Your input is invaluable to us and will help us improve our operations and prioritize the actions that matter most to our residents," encouraging them to speak up during the evening.

Pool Safety and Maintenance
As we approach the warm months of spring and summer, families will spend more time in the great outdoors. We've had a wet winter and it has taken its toll on fences and unmaintained pools.  In an effort to keep our neighborhoods safe, Oakley Municipal Code requires all pools be kept in a clean and sanitary condition, and secured from unauthorized entry. These requirements apply to all pools regardless of when the pool was constructed, and exist to protect the health and safety of all residents, particularly children. Read More...

Even if you do not own a pool, you can help maintain a safe and attractive neighborhood by anonymously reporting possible issues to the Code Enforcement division at www.ci.oakley.ca.us or by emailing code-enforcement@ci.oakley.ca.us  so we can investigate.
