The Goats Are Back in Town
|
Spring is finally here and the grass everywhere is tall and green from all of the rain this past winter. Damon Pombo of Tracy brought approximately 200 goats to Oakley on Tuesday to get started on the second annual storm drain basin cleanup. Last year's cleanup was very successful and we received lots of positive feedback from residents all over the City. The goats will eat almost any vegetation down to the ground on almost any terrain in all weather. This eliminates future fire danger from dry grass and frees the City's maintenance crews from having to clear the weeds.
