At the Tuesday, February 23rd Meeting of the City Council Meeting:
- Presented Freedom High School football team, with a proclamation for their achievement in having the highest grade point average of all Division 1 football teams in the North Coast Section in 2015
- Pledge of Allegiance led by two students from the Ariana Ambassador Leadership group at Gehringer Elementary School

The City of Oakley is rolling out a new program in support of local businesses. The Shop Oakley program evolved from an earlier effort called "Oakley First" which was spearheaded by Mayor Kevin Romick in 2007. The Shop Oakley coupon program is designed to remind consumers of the variety of shopping and dining opportunities in Oakley, to pass along savings to consumers and to support local businesses in the process. 
The Shop Oakley 2016 coupon booklet includes savings at a wide variety of local businesses including discounts at restaurants, hair salons, auto service centers, floral services, dry cleaning and more. The booklets contain more than $1000 in savings. Shop Oakley coupon booklets are FREE and are available at City Hall and at participating businesses.

- Seasonal Parks and Landscape Maintenance Laborer (Open until filled),
- Sports Field Maintenance Laborer (Open until filled)
- Police Services Assistant (Deadline 3/11 at 5 p.m.)

Citizen Satisfaction Survey Available Online
|
Every two years, the City of Oakley conducts this survey to measure our residents' satisfaction with our overall performance and satisfaction with specific services, as well as the quality of life. The survey was sent to 500 subscribed customers of garbage service in Oakley, selected at random, to receive this survey. While your answers will be confidential, a summary of the results will be made public at completion. The results will also be shared with the City Council and City departments for the purpose of making improvements and to inform the priorities in the upcoming 2016-18 Strategic Plan.
