Citizen Satisfaction Survey Available Online
Every two years, the City of Oakley conducts this survey to measure our residents' satisfaction with our overall performance and satisfaction with specific services, as well as the quality of life. The survey was sent to 500 subscribed customers of garbage service in Oakley, selected at random, to receive this survey. While your answers will be confidential, a summary of the results will be made public at completion. The results will also be shared with the City Council and City departments for the purpose of making improvements and to inform the priorities in the upcoming 2016-18 Strategic Plan.

Oakley Youth Advisory Council
The Oakley Youth Advisory Council will be hosting a Youth Employment Workshop for teens that are looking for a job or just want to learn how to fill out an application, and interview professionally. For those interested in working at Summer Blaze or Youth CORE Day Camps, the Recreation Division will be on site with application information and to answer questions about the selection process. Free pizza will be available for those in attendance (while supplies last).

Those interested in attending are encouraged to pre-register online here.

The Oakley Youth Advisory Council and students from Freedom High School attended the Youth for the Environment and Sustainability Conference (YES) on Saturday, January 30th.  The Conference was presented by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Spare the Air, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. The Youth Council attended workshops on topics including; air quality, urban forests, climate change, bike repair, carbon footprints and more. The Youth Council members hope to use their knowledge and new contacts to help plan a day of Science Week. Video of the 2016 YES Conference is now online here. Freedom High School teacher John Sierra also created a video chronicling the trip which can be found here.
