Tomorrow Saturday, January 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. there will be a Family Discovery Day hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1432 Laurel Road in Oakley.
This event will give the community the opportunity to strengthen family ties by discovering how to find names to add to their family trees, as well as learn new ways to preserve their family legacies and share this with others. There will be several stations set up where people can gain new ideas relating to family history, enjoy activities for all ages that will improve family connections, and sample food made from local family recipes. This is a free community event and all ages are welcome to attend!

Want to win $50 cash and love to draw with chalk? Sign up for Rock the Chalk Event happening in April. The event is Saturday, April 2 from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. This event will take place at the Civic Center Plaza. Artwork will be located on the concrete dance floor at the Civic Center Amphitheater. Participants will be assigned a 3' x 4' space. Registration is FREE and open to all ages. Oakley is now hiring for Seasonal Parks and Landscape Maintenance Laborers and a Facilities Attendant. Candidates interested in the positions are encouraged to click here for the employment application.
