Heart of Oakley Proves Fun For All
|
The 3rd Annual Heart of Oakley Festival, hosted this past weekend, was another great success with over three thousand in attendance.
Attendees were treated to a full day of performances and live entertainment at the amphitheater including Crosstown 5, Steve Hanson, and Myron Edwins, and more. The many that chose to dine and hang out across the street by the Oakley Plaza fountain welcomed the event's extension through the addition of acoustic entertainment.
Glass in hand of microbrews or Oakley wines, folks strolled the Civic Center Plaza shopping and talking to the craft, retail and non-profits booths all eagerly showing off their wares and cares. All who stopped by the multi-cultural booths would have learned a thing of two about a culture other than their own as Iran, Mexico, France, Philippines, India, Nigeria, Guatemala were on display. Kiddos enjoyed the free crafts and jumpies.
