Police Services Study

Tuesday night, the City Council received a report and held a public input session regarding how police services are delivered in Oakley. That is why last year the Council directed City staff to begin exploring how the City can best maintain (or even improve) these quality police services - especially as the City grows. The key concern as we look into the future is the cost of these services, currently contracted through Contra Costa County, and the additional annual cost of each new officer when we propose to add officers, something the City will need to do as it grows.
