Introducing Two New Members of Team Oakley
Next time you stop by our offices or call, you might very well be helped by Receptionist, Diana Kerr. As a part-time Staff member Diana will help greet visitors and callers and provide information. In the case of department-specific concerns, she'll help route residents to the appropriate department to assist. She'll perform many additional essential tasks in support of city operations behind the scenes. With over 20 years of experience in customer service, we gladly welcome her to the Team!

Our Finance Department is now also joined by Ashley Underwood, who was  recently hired as a part-time Accounting Assistant. Ashley is helping to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting, statistical records and other financial documents. Additionally, post receipts and other information to various City accounts and funds, as well as support of billing, accounts payable, business licensing and payroll processes.

Community Enhancement Through Enforcement
The focus of Oakley's Code Enforcement effort is to ensure Oakley remains a highly desirable place for both families and businesses to live and thrive.   To ensure this objective is met, Code Enforcement is sometimes forced to "act as the bad guy" and point out to residents and owners certain violations being committed that are adversely affecting the City's appearance and quality of life. The purpose of this article is to explain what the most common violations are and why they're a part of our City Codes. In turn, it's hoped this will encourage both better compliance and embolden each of us to report suspected violations.
