Oakley Leadership Academy Graduates 23 Residents 
This past Tuesday, the Oakley City Council recognized 23 graduates of the Inaugural Citizens' Leadership Academy.

 

The new program is designed to provide residents an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the City operations and processes. The sessions presented by City Staff addressed how City funds are allocated, decisions made, current challenges, future plans and much more. Topics covered ranged from Community Development, Development Services, Public Safety and other City services.

New Crime Tip Email Address Set Up for Anonymous Reporting   

The Oakley Police Department is seeking your assistance in keeping Oakley a safe and desirable place to live. If you believe you have information about criminal activity in the City of Oakley, we want to know about it. 

 

We have established a crime tip email address: [email protected] to receive your tips regarding criminal activity.  This crime tip email address is intended to receive information relating to crimes against people or property.

City Council Meeting Debrief   

 

At the Tuesday, January 13th Meeting of the City Council/City Council Acting as Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency Meeting the Council: 
  • Administered the Oath of Office to newly appointed Councilmember Vanessa Perry
  • Presented a proclamation, gifts, and parting words to Diane Burgis. Burgis, resigned from the City Council after having been elected to the East Bay Regional Parks District. Burgis also received certificates from the offices of Superivisor Mary Piepho, Assemblymember Frazier, and Congressman McNerney.
  • Presented George Loosli with a proclamation recognizing his attainment of Eagle Scout
  • Presented Andrew Oort with a proclamation recognizing his attainment of Eagle Scout
