David Matteodo will discuss recent developments and issues concerning inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse hospitals in the Commonwealth. Highlighting the discussion will be an update on news hospitals and units scheduled to open this year; the political climate and priorities around behavioral health for hospitals, the Legislature and the Baker Administration; and a look at the shared issues among behavioral health hospitals.
Learning objectives: Upon completion of this live lecture, attendees will:
- Understand the current environment for public and private behavioral health relative to inpatient care
- Identify the major issues for inpatient care as a result of the economic and political landscape
