Buckingham United
Winter Futsal Training Program

As the fall season winds down, all attention turns to winter training and with that, Buckingham United Soccer Club is once again pleased to offer up its Winter Futsal training program. We are introducing some exciting new changes to our popular futsal training program:
  • 10 weeks - each session runs an hour
  • Buckingham Futsal Dry Fit Training Top
  • Festival Days to increase the competition through the program
  • All trainers will have their NSCAA Level 1 Futsal Coaching License
Buckingham United Futsal is a high quality individualized training program, designed to accelerate individual foot skills and ball handling - this is not a league.  Training groups will be grouped by age, not specifically by team.

The program will again be held on Saturdays or Sundays (scroll down for for specific age groups). Additionally, we are considering adding Wednesday nights in hopes of offering a mid-week training session (dependent on player requests). The training sessions are set to begin the first weekend of December. So don't hesitate sign up today for this great opportunity to participate in this growing global sports phenomenon.

What is Futsal?

Futsal is a variation of soccer. The game is played on a basketball court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. Futsal is also played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regular soccer ball due to the surface of the field. The game emphasizes individual technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces. There is an extreme emphasis on improvisation and creativity.

Why Futsal?

Accelerating individual player skills is completely dependent on increasing the number of touches on the ball. Futsal places a premium on touches, control and technique. There are far more quality touches and repetitions in Futsal than in the game of soccer which makes Futsal a better use of your time and money than just playing in a local indoor league.

If you are serious about skills and technique development, futsal is the superior activity. Futsal promotes better technique and develops skills more rapidly.
