Tryouts Begin in April
Know someone that might want to play at Buckingham United?

Buckingham United is looking for players in all Age Groups!   Tryouts are scheduled by age group.   Please REGISTER HERE.  All registrations are online and are necessary to tryout.  The fee to register is just $10.  You receive will receive a BUSC numbered tryout shirt to be used as a training shirt during the season.

Tryouts for Buckingham United are held each Spring for the following year that begins in August. The Travel year has 3 seasons: Fall, Winter & Spring.

Why Buckingham United?

Dedication to FUN development

We don't believe that development and fun are mutually exclusive.  Our coaches are great at creating a fun and developmentally appropriate learning environment for the players.

 

Member Approval

Over 94% of our members would recommend BUSC to a friend, and 93% of our members recognize our coaches as having positive motivational tools and enthusiasm for coaching. (2014 survey of BUSC and CBAA members)

 

Education & Safety

All BUSC coaches are required to take a minimum of the EPYSA "E" License, attend yearly positive coaching workshops, and successfully complete concussion training and background checks.  Our coaches attend regular meetings and on-field coaching programs run by the BUSC Director of Coaching.

 

Growth and Success

Since 2011, BUSC has grown 42%, from 29 to 41 teams, with a player retention rate of 94%.   Since 2013/14, 24% of our teams moved up at least one division, with 40% of our teams playing in Division 1 or higher in their respective leagues.  Over that same period, BUSC teams have won or tied 65% of their games, all while stressing the importance of development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and integrity above all else.

About Our Tryouts  Our Annual OPEN Tryouts for the 2015-16 Soccer Year will be held in early Spring.  

 

  1. Our "OPEN" tryouts are held in April and early May for the following Soccer year, which begins in August. The year-long soccer season for Travel begins in August and ends in June, with a short Winter break after the Fall season as well as after the Spring season in July.
  2. Players are required to register for our tryouts online, or parents can email us to register your child the day of tryouts.  Players attempting to register at the fields must show up at least 30 minutes prior to the tryout, and are not guaranteed a spot at tryouts.  The online process is highly encouraged, and will streamline your experience.
  3. The tryouts are typically 2 evening sessions in the same week, consisting of individual exercises, small sided games and scrimmages.  
  4. Players will receive a numbered Tryout Shirt with your registration fee of $10.
  5. If you are new to the area, or looking to see if one of our teams have a roster opening, please contact our DOC.  We may be able to arrange for you to attend a team's practice prior to tryouts, or inquire about possible roster openings, please contact our DOC for more information.
