Dear CBAA Soccer Members & Friends -
Since receiving a valuable tip from Puxatawny for an early Spring predication, we are feverishly planning and prepping for our upcoming soccer season! It takes an incredible group of dedicated people- most, who are volunteers! It's all comes together after many planning meetings, lots of email exchange, applications for field rentals, field and facility maintenance, player registration, coach & team selections, website updates, newsletters, uniform orders, practice and game schedules, field lining.... the list is endless.
We are very fortunate to have such an energetic and devoted team! If you have some ideas to share, suggestions, or would like to help out in some way, we'd love to hear from you.
Thank you to all of our volunteers and partners who make this a great place to play! We are looking forward to creating happy, lasting memories and great experiences for you and your families here at CBAA Soccer!

Intramural Update
Team Assignments Coming Soon!
Teams are being formed now! We are in a waitlist status with many age groups.
Weather and field conditions permitting, practices should begin the week of April 1. The first games will kick off on April 13. You can expect that your child's coach will contact you in mid-late March. If you haven't heard from your coach by late March, or have questions, please contact the Age Group Coordinator Volunteer for your player. We will be utilizing team websites this Spring to help the coaches and teams communicate more effectively.
- U5/U6 Age group has a parent-child program that includes a one hour skill building session on Saturdays only; there is no week day practice.
- Children in U7 and higher leagues will have practice one night a week, with games on Saturday and/or Sunday. U7 through U12 ages offer a small sided games emphasis
- U13 and up play full sided games
- All Age groups include clinics, festivals and coaching support.
Field assignments will depend on the size of each league; we strive to have all practices and games at the same field location. The season will conclude around June 8 (before school is over)
New IM Approach for U7 & U8
This spring the IM U7 / U8 programs will be using a 'squad' system with larger groups of players playing together at practices and games. This approach will have many benefits to the players as well as the coaches.More players equals more fun! Players interacting with each other will mean more friends and more fun for the kids!
More even matched competition - helps alleviate the "uneven team" dilemma and also allows more flexibility built in for coaches with their schedules. We are really looking forward to working with the players and coaches to help get this new program direction underway. More details will be coming out soon! |
