The Central Bucks Athletic Association Soccer Steering Committee is soliciting candidates for the following open leadership positions within the CBAA Soccer organization. Interested candidates must be members in good standing of the CBAA Soccer organization, including CBAA Intramural Soccer, the Buckingham United Soccer Club (travel soccer), and/or CBAA TOPSoccer.
Candidates should submit their contact information, along with a brief summary of their credentials, particularly with respect to their involvement within CBAA intramural and/or travel soccer, by the deadline of Thursday, January 31, 2013 to cbaasoccer@gmail.com.
The CBAA Soccer Steering Committee will review all candidate submissions received as of January 31, 2013. The Steering Committee will then select the nominee for President of Soccer and the nominee for Vice President of Soccer and will put these nominees before the entire eligible membership of the CBAA Soccer organization for their approval.
PRESIDENT OF SOCCER
The CBAA Steering Committee isseeking candidates interested in filling a mid-term vacancy in the position of CBAA Soccer President for the remaining current term, which ends on Tuesday, December 24, 2013.
There shall be one President for the Soccer Program sponsored by the Association. The term of the Soccer President shall be 2 years, commencing on the fourth Tuesday of December, or as soon thereafter as possible. The terms of the Soccer President and Vice President shall be staggered year to year. The term limit for Soccer President is 6 years.
The Soccer President shall be responsible for oversight and control of all CBAA Soccer program activities, including the preparation and submission of an annual budget and final income/expenditure statement. The Soccer President will ensure that all program expenditures have been approved in advance by the Central Bucks Athletic Association's Board of Directors. Expenditures in excess of the initial budget proposal must be approved by the CBAA Board.
For clarification, the successful candidate for the current vacancy for the position of CBAA Soccer President would have an initial term ending on December 24, 2013. The successful candidate would, of course, be eligible for consideration to be re-elected for a full two-year term if the candidate were so interested.
VICE PRESIDENT OF SOCCER
The CBAA Soccer Steering Committee is seeking candidates interested in filling the new leadership position as the Vice President of CBAA Soccer.
There shall be one Vice President for the Soccer Program sponsored by the Association. The term of the Soccer Vice President shall be 2 years, commencing on the fourth Tuesday of December, or as soon thereafter as possible. The terms of the Soccer President and Vice President shall be staggered year to year. The term limit for Soccer Vice President is 6 years.
The Soccer Vice President shall be responsible for serving the Soccer President in the capacity requested with the purpose to enhance the functioning of all CBAA Soccer program activities.
