WHAT IS A REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE REVIEW?
Annual regulatory and compliance reviews will ensure a trucking company is doing everything in accordance to the rules by which it is governed. Checked against all the regulations and laws a trucking operation has to adhere with, conducting a regulatory and compliance review is the best - and most proactive - way to ensure a fleet's trucks remain on the road.

HOW WILL THIS HELP MY OPERATION LONG-TERM?
The IMTA works with carriers to examine their policies, procedures and records to make certain they meet industry standards. This creates efficiencies for the trucking company and its employees while minimizing the threat of an intervention from the FMCSA. While it does not eliminate a potential FMCSA review (or inspection from another government agency), it will significantly reduce the stress of one because the IMTA will have already thoroughly studied the carrier to help identify strengths and weaknesses to improve.

WHO PERFORMS THE REVIEW?
Don Egli is the IMTA's full-time director of safety who performs services such as regulatory and compliance
reviews. He has been employed by the IMTA since 2005 and has over 30 years of experience in trucking
as a driver, operations manager and safety specialist - among other roles. Egli is a Certified Director of Safety
and has assisted more than 100 members and non-members of the IMTA increase productivity while
decreasing risks and threats to their operations.

HOW MUCH WILL A REVIEW COST?
Actual price is negotiated based on the amount of work involved as it is recommended by the IMTA and accepted by the carrier. Some factors include time, degree of seriousness and whether communication with a regulatory agency is required.

For questions specific to Iowa Truck Services, and pricing information, please contact Don Egli in the IMTA Office at (515) 244-5193 or at [email protected].

MOCK REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AUDIT

SAFETY & REGULATORY TRAINING
This service includes two different options.  First is a simple mock audit which includes an audit of the compliance processes that you have in place. Second is a complete mock audit which includes auditing files and records in your facility.

Our safety personnel have the knowledge and experience needed to conduct driver, employee, or management training on every type of training. We can come to your location, and we use a variety of training formats to meet your training needs.

REGULATORY CONSULTATION & ASSISTANCE

CORRECTIVE ACTION PLANNING
Many times you don't need a complete audit, but would like to sit down with our staff and discuss certain regulatory issues within your company. Some carriers feel more comfortable talking with us than going to FMCSA or the Iowa DOT for answers to their questions.

FMCSA requires carriers with poor compliance history, or after a bad compliance review, to come up with a corrective action plan. We have completed many of these for companies, so why not put our experience to work for you?

CSA MANAGEMENT

LICENSING & PERMITTING
CSA can be a confusing program. Why not let us manage your CSA details, and your DataQ appeals for you? We can give you monthly reports, showing trends, to help you manage your issues. This frees you up to manage the day-to-day operations of your fleet.

Licensing and permitting processes is complex and confusing. We can help with obtaining Operating Authority, simple trip permits and more. Use our relations with the Federal and State governments to ease these processes for you.
