"What do you want to be when you grow up?" That's a tough question for a young adult to answer especially when it comes to STEM careers as the "be" may not even exist yet. There are ways to have a meaningful discussion with students about pursuing STEM. Here are a five ways to get that conversation started.

STEM majors head the list of highest-paid majors for the college class of 2013, according to a new report by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Eight STEM-related majors make the top 10 list including seven in engineering fields. Top pay for these graduates is due to high demand for STEM workers.
