INTERNSHIPS & JOBS
Seasonal Open Space Technician
Opened until filled

You are able to perform a variety of semi-skilled construction, carpentry, building and field maintenance duties including using hand and power tools such as chain saws, mowers, sprayers and similar equipment as well as perform routine maintenance and repair of assigned tools. You take responsibility for routine clean-up and maintenance on Authority lands including trails, roads, building and other facilities. You enjoy engaging members of the public by communicating the mission, vision and goals of the Authority, answering basic questions and interacting with the visitors and neighbors in a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful manner.

Conservation Corps North Bay
Summer Job

Conservation Corps North Bay is seeking interested college students or recent graduates to fill temporary seasonal positions with our Community Recycling Crew (CRC) and Natural Resource Crew (NRC) programs. These positions are a great opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on, real world experience in the nonprofit sector and to build skills in natural resource conservation, environmental education, and youth development.

Transportation Planning Interns
Two Internship Positions

 The Transportation Agency is seeking two part-time interns to assist staff with a range of potential duties.Two specific assignments would likely be of interest to individuals with different skill sets:
(1.)The first is to support our robust public outreach efforts. TAMC uses social media and in-person presentations to educate the public about transportation issues and engage them about planning for our future transportation system.
(2.) The second would create computer applications to streamline contract management processes and coordinate Agency data sets. The Agency is interested in developing apps to simplify often complicated and confusing processes.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Groundwater Research Scholarship
Groundwater Resource Association of California Scholarship
The Central Coast branch of the Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRAC) has scholarship funds up to $2500 available for distribution to college and graduate students performing research on groundwater resources in the Central Coast branch region (generally, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties). GRAC wishes to support student research related to groundwater issues, water resources management, water recycling and other proposals related to groundwater research. We also have funds available for students who would like to attend the 30th Biennial Groundwater Conference & 24th Groundwater Resources Association of Calif 

ornia Annual Meeting in Sacramento on October 6 & 7, 2015.

COAST Student Travel Awards
COAST Scholarship
The Council of Ocean Affairs, Science & Technology (COAST) provides travel support for CSU undergraduate and graduate students to present the results of original research at marine, estuarine and coastal-themed scientific meetings and conferences, or special thematic sessions of more general scientific meetings. Please note COAST has new guidelines and policies regarding travel reimbursements as of August 1, 2014. See award announcement for full details.
