America has a middle-class jobs problem. Over the past 30 years, jobs paying middle-class salaries have been disappearing, relative to high-wage and low-wage jobs. The Batten Institute partnered with UVA's Miller Center to host a Milstein Symposium on this important issue.

The i.Lab Incubator, operated by the Darden School's Batten Institute, is welcoming 23 ventures to its 2015 class. The group includes new and returning ventures, and several from the Charlottesville community.

LendStreet: Recovering From Debt, Rebuilding a Life
Darden graduate Jerry Nemorin (MBA '08) founded LendStreet to give consumers a better way to get out of debt. The company, which grew out of UVA's i.Lab Incubator, offers a fresh start to people in need and returns to investors.
