Lower School Students Are on the Hunt!

First grade students took a recent trip to a strawberry farm, where they hunted for sweet strawberries!

PreK students hunted and found brightly colored eggs.

After learning the sound of "ar", Kindergarten "pirates" hunted for words with the "ar" spelling, and went on a treasure hunt on the school grounds!ls 3

You don't have to hunt for long to find learning fun at LMP's Lower School!

Are you searching for some summer fun? Check out LMP Summer Camp opportunities for all grade levels!

Earth Day
Monday, April 22 is Earth Day. We can all stand to do something to help our home planet, but sixth grader Nicolas Lopez took the step. He recently promoted Earth Hour, an effort to get families to turn off lights and other electrical devices for one hour on March 23.  We can all learn something from Nicholas. To learn more about Earth Day, visit earthday.org.

Are You a Disney Dreamers & Doer?

Since 1984, Walt Disney World Resort has collaborated with local school districts to identify and recognize young people who have demonstrated excellence in their schools and communities. It is time once again to open the application process for the Disney Dreamers and Doers Program.

Disney is pleased to continue recognizing upper school students for the many ways they are engaged in making the world a better place. In an effort to encourage students to personally express the pride they feel for their positive actions, we ask that students self-nominate, and select any teacher to champion their application.

Students are to write no more than 300 words about something they have done at home, in school, or in their community that has inspired others, and makes the world a better place. Students must select any one teacher to champion/endorse their application. The teacher will write 75 words or less on why they support the student's application.

Students turn in their essay to Christine Marczak no later than April 18. For more information, click to contact Sarah Kemeness.
