As we here at TMI AutoTech approach the New Year, the level of excitement for what's to come is nearly palpable. We are ramping up for the biggest year we have had to date, starting with the Barrett Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona in mid-January. We will be displaying an Atom 3 as well as the turbocharged engine used in the new Atom 3S.
The fun doesn't stop in January - in March, the One Lap of America Atom and its owners will be attending the prestigious Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, having been accepted to the exclusive cars and coffee event scheduled during the week of festivities. In April we are happy to be attending the first annual North Carolina Nationals in Raleigh, presented by Goodguys Rod and Custom Association. In addition to shows we will also be travelling across America throughout the year attending cars and coffee events, club meetings, and small events that encapsulate the spirit of the Atom. As the year progresses we will be making additions to our tour schedule and will give periodic updates through our blog and Facebook page.
We are also excited to announce that, in addition to providing service for all makes and models of cars, our Motorsport Service division is now offering various parts and upgrades for the Ariel Atom 3. If you have always wanted that set of wings or upgraded brakes, you can now have them installed here on site by our team of expert technicians.
Whether you are an existing owner, a prospective buyer, or just love the Atom, we have something for you coming up in 2015. For more information about the Atom, our Motorsport Service division, or any of our offerings here at TMI AutoTech please call (434)822-9130 or email ddew@tmiautotech.com.
To owners and enthusiasts alike, where would you like to see us this year? We are always looking for opportunities to spread the fun and excitement of the Ariel Atom!

Proper Lifting Points On The Atom
|
Atom owners come from many different backgrounds and have varying degrees of mechanical experience. Some want to do simple maintenance on their own, while others may leave it to the experts. Regardless of how in depth you want to get into the maintenance of your Atom, knowing where to position your jack to lift it is an essential task that everyone should know. So let us show you the best spots to lift your Atom for some simple maintenance.
**Make sure to use a low profile jack that will clear the Atom's chassis**
Lifting the rear of the car:

Be sure to position the jack on the left hand side of the car near the transmission on the rear most tube on the chassis. We place a thick cloth or towel folded over on the chassis to prevent scuffing the finish.
Lifting the front:

To lift the front on your Atom you should first acquire a spacer to make sure the jack does not interfere with the body panels - such as the puck style shown in the photo on the left. Position the jack where the wishbone is connected to the chassis at the front of the car. Be sure you have enough space to clear the front body panel with the jack once you begin lifting the car. (Note: A taller spacer may be required to clear the body panel on the Atom 3)
While the steps may seem basic, we hope that this helps to make the ownership of your Atom even more enjoyable and easier to care for. If you have something you want us to discuss in our next Tech Tip, send an email with "Tech Tip" in the subject line to: cdoss@tmiautotech.com
