Dear Friends and Family,
Would you pray especially for a critical situation that has developed in Haiti concerning the families of New Life Village? I was surprised when I arrived in Port Au Prince last week to learn that the land owner, where New Life Village is currently located, wants his land back IMMEDIATELY. Despite the fact that contracts are signed with us and UN-OPS he says that all of the families must be moved by Dec 31st or he is coming in with force. He also said that on January 1st anything that is at the location becomes his. The process of acquiring the new land is 98% complete but most offices are closed for the holiday season we do not anticipate final closure on the new location until February. You can imagine how anxious and vulnerable the village families are feeling with this kind of holiday news! I am meeting with the land owner again today and I would deeply appreciate your prayers for wisdom and grace. Prayer changes things!!

Also, the pump on the village well just broke yesterday so the village families have to walk over a kilometer to get water. Please pray that we can locate the resources to get the pump fixed quickly. Also pray for the immediate provision of a couple of wheelbarrows to lighten the load in the mean time
There is a great deal of economic hardship in Haiti right now. For the poor, food is expensive and scarce. It stirs something deep in my heart when I see the children in the village and realize that most of them will not receive a single toy or have any kind of meat on their plates even for Christmas dinner.

I am deeply grateful for the progress that was made toward closing the financial gap which I shared about in November. I was moved to tears by the sacrifice of each one who gave from their heart. May God's abundant blessing fill your heart and life each one!!
