After months of planning, myriad details and one very long, but glorious, day the 2014 Tee Up for Children with Autism Golf Tournament is history. I'd like to thank our Committee Cochairs, Dan Farrar Jr. and Brent Buckley for their dedicated efforts. Committee members Judy Colaianni, Pat Davis and Brian Kovalski for your help and Sara  Brunell and Scott Barry from Long Auto Group,  our Presenting Sponsor for all they did to make the day a great success.  Thanks to our Dinner Sponsor, Jeff Robinson of Behavioral Concepts Inc. for your support and the Kovalski Family for sponsoring our program book. None of this would have happened without the herculean efforts of our volunteers and my amazing staff. We owe them!   I think Monday was the best outing ever, with 126 golfers enjoying a beautiful day on a great course. It's our kids who will reap the benefits! Thank You Thank You Thank You.

Over the years, rather than Labor Day marking the end of summer for me, the Golf Tournament has become my harbinger of Fall. And we are now ready to launch into our Fall activities.

I'm looking forward to resuming my normal schedule of working Wednesday evenings , seeing parents at Support Groups, doing Sibshops ( the first of this school year is this Saturday!)  and kicking off Family Fun Activities with Kidsfest at Wachusetts on September 21st. These activities are what events like Monday's Golf Tournament make possible, so once again Thank you to  the members of our Family Advisory Board and others who volunteered. We're fortunate to have your support.

This fall we've 2 dates for you to save. October 12th is teh Tenth Annual Chili Cook Off at Devens which benefits the Center thanks to our Friends at Devens Grill. Then on   November 17, 2014 . Our friends at the Publick House in Sturbridge are again supporting the Autism Resource Center through their Publick House Cooks for Community Organizations Program. Save the date and enjoy a wonderful meal of Comfort Foods and a portion of your cost for dinner will support your Center!

Everyone eats! Both events are a great chance to enjoy good food and a great cause!

Have a great week !

Sue
