Scott Augenbaum

Supervisory Special Agent (SSA), Scott E. Augenbaum, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), started his career with the FBI in the New York Field Office in 1988 as a support employee in the Financial Management Section and became a Special Agent in 1994. He was first assigned to the Syracuse, New York Office, where he worked domestic terrorism, white collar and hate crimes, and all computer crime investigations. In October 2003, he was promoted to SSA at FBI Headquarters, Washington D.C in the Cyber Division, Cyber Task Force Unit and was responsible for managing the FBI's Cyber Task Force Program as well as the Cyber Crime and Intellectual Property Rights Program. In 2006, he was transferred to Nashville, TN and manages the FBI Memphis Division Computer Intrusion/Counterintelligence Squad and manages a staff of seven investigators. Over the past seven years, he provided hundreds of computer intrusion threat briefings with the goal of educating the community on emerging computer intrusion threats and how to not to be the victim of a data breach.

Jay Brew is a community bank strategist who, through education and facilitation, assists directors and senior management to develop strategic thought for the future. Besides strategic planning, Jay believes in proactive risk management, capital planning, and asset liability management.

 

Besides being published and speaking on a state and national level, Jay has also served on the faculty of the Sheshunoff CEO Affiliation.

A 30-year veteran of the bank technology industry, Pat has worked for a major core processor, started his own compliance software firm, and currently serves as Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for Queensborough National Bank & Trust Company, Louisville, Georgia. A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Pat has an extensive background in bank operations, regulatory compliance, and technology innovation. His recent work includes serving as an expert witness on several bank fraud cases.

 

 

Eric Cook

During his banking career, Eric was the "driving force" behind many of his bank's strategic technology initiatives, taking his community bank online in 1995 as one of the first "hometown" banks in the nation with a presence on the web. He soon brought his customers real-time online banking capability as well as a variety of other online conveniences over his 15-years with the bank. Starting initially on the Teller line, when he stepped away from banking in 2007 he was regional president for a Michigan-based, publicly-traded community bank.

 

Today Eric is an award-winning web designer and owns his own Internet consulting practice. He is focused on helping organizations (especially community banks) better understand and leverage the power of the Internet as a strategic business tool. Shane Daniel

Shane Daniel is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) specializing in risk management, information technology audits, Bank Secrecy Act Independent Testing, compliance management, information security, and internal audit outsourcing. He is a graduate of Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, with a B.S. in Accounting. A former community bank internal auditor and compliance officer, Shane has over 20 years of experience helping financial institutions manage risk and profitability.

Mark's banking experience spans both the retail and commercial sectors, where he served in a variety of front line sales, management and marketing positions. As a consultant, he has worked with a variety of institutions in the US and abroad.  He is a recognized expert in the areas of effective management practices and relationship activities.

 

In addition to his day-to-day work with FPP clients, Mark serves on the faculties of several national, regional and state banking schools.  He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and his articles have appeared in several national and international financial publications. Mark is the author of two books on effective management.

Joshua Jacobs

Joshua Jacobs has thirteen years of experience providing information technology consulting services and solutions focusing on financial institutions. He is an Indiana University Kelly School of Business graduate with a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) and a Christian Brothers University graduate with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management (GCPM).  He holds numerous IT and IT security certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), and the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). Mr. Joy has a variety of experience in various general civil litigation matters, including professional liability defense, business and commercial litigation, health care law, products liability and medical device liability, personal injury and business torts.  Mr. Joy has been involved in a number of jury trials to verdict.  Among his other areas of experience in health care, Mr. Joy counsels covered entities on a variety of matters pertaining to HIPAA, particularly Privacy Rule and Breach Notification Rule compliance. Chuck Wilson

Chuck holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Management from Mercer University, a graduate degree in Organizational Development from the University of Louisville, and a Professional Masters in Banking from Louisiana State University. He is a Faculty Member with SMU Southwest Graduate School of Banking and with LSU Graduate School of Banking. He is also a Facilitator with LSU's Academy of Professional Banking in Scottsdale, Arizona. Chuck is recognized nationally by the Financial Services Industry as a popular speaker at National and State Conventions, Conferences, and Seminars.

 

Virginia B. Wilson
