Bad Santa
There is NO meeting this Friday. It has been moved to Wednesday (Tomorrow) at the Quincy Boat Club with our annual Christmas/ New Year's Eve party. There will be plenty of great food with a short meeting including another edition of "The News". Plus Santa has a present for Bruce Broemmel. Bring a friend tomorrow!

Friday Last

xmas-tree-icon.gif There was no meeting last Friday for the Christmas holidays. We do have a new member ready to be brought into the club. Andy Waggoner will be inducted and was proposed by Perry Terwelp. Why not make 2015 the year that you invite someone to join our craziness?

This & That

This week's 50-50 card draw is worth $734 (oh my!). What a great way to end 2014!

Our speaker on January 9th will be Heather Davis who will be informing us on the activities of Special Olympics in the area. We'll be back at Stoney Creek next week!

A little update on plans for the District Convention. The Lincolnland District Convention will be held here in Quincy at the Stoney Creek Inn the last weekend in June (June 25-28). On Thursday the 25th, Jared Haugh is putting together a club/district golf outing at Spring Lake followed by dinner at the club. On Friday, our noon meeting will be part of the District's motivational lunch. Bobbe White will have the program that day. Following lunch, we'll have the first of two business sessions, then move down to the Villa Katherine Friday evening for a hog roast and entertainment by Cheeks McGee. Saturday morning, General U.S. Grant will be our keynote speaker for the One Nation Under God breakfast and memorial service followed by the second business session and elections. Saturday afternoon, we'll have some optional tours and educational seminars with the celebration banquet Saturday night. Sunday morning, we'll recognize the District Youth of the Year and ACE Award recipients. Of course, it wouldn't be Quincy without a great hospitality room all weekend!

We'll see you on Wednesday the 31st at the Boat Club!

Line of the Week

Santa was having a crappy day at the North Pole. The elves were behind in getting the toys ready, the furnace went out, Mrs. Claus had a long list of things for him to do before he left on his trek, his phone was ringing off the hook asking for donations and he was cranky and tired. He had just sat down in his recliner when the doorbell rang. He got up complaining all the way to the door. He opened the door and there stood an angel with a Christmas tree who asked Santa "Where would you like for me to put it?"

 - And now you know how the Angel got on top of the Christmas tree.
