The meeting commenced (that means started) with a prayer from Mayor John Spring followed by a pledge utterance from David Adam since the president refused to do it (see previous bulletin). Steve Peters twisted the tails and told a church bulletin joke that he wish he hadn't after a lack of laughter by the membership.
President Perry Terwelp thanked Jared Haugh for his organizing the recent Burger-less Bash at Cedar Crest Country Club. Perry also thanked Tim Wiewel, Steve Peters and Skip Rueter for their help with preparing the great tasting food for the evening. If you weren't there you missed out.
Jeff Dorsey was congratulated on organizing a successful St. Patrick's Parade.
Perry announced that the Club could use some members for the upcoming YMCA Mississippi Mud Mania event on June 8th. Rick Gengenbacher and Perry will be co-chairing the event.
Chuck Venvertloh conducted the card draw and for the second week in a row Curt Moore had the winning ticket but drew the wrong card. He drew the 9 of spades (same card he drew last week according to Curt...What gives Chuck?). The pot was determined after the meeting to be at $623 after Chuck discussed his vacation plans with his wife. (just kidding, but if you come back with a tan???).
The meeting featured appearances from representatives from our Macker sponsors Pepsi, Quincy Medical Group, WGEM and the Quincy Herald Whig. Other guests included Carly Gengenbacher, daughter of Rick and Nick Neuser, a nephew of Rich Lavery..
