New Youth Coordinator for AHA
AHA would like to welcome our new Youth & Families Program Coordinator Brenna Whitlock! We
are excited to have her and can't wait to see what she brings to AHYA. Here's a little bit about her:

"My name is Brenna Whitlock.  I graduated from Colorado State University in 2011 with a double major in Equine Science and Agricultural Business.  I own two horses, one is a Half-Arabian and one is a quarter horse.  I grew up riding horses and learned how to ride through an organization called Westernaires.  This is a mounted drill team that performs mostly around Colorado, but has also performed around the United States.   After high school I became involved in the horse judging team at CSU and competed at all the big shows, earning a National title at U.S. Nationals and a Reserve Championship title at the AQHA World Show. Recently I have been participating in Ranch Sorting and Team Penning.  I have always been involved with youth and livestock. I was an intern with 4-H, I've worked multiple times at Denver's National Western Stock Show and have been a volunteer leader with Younglife.  I have been working for AHA for almost a year and was previously a member of the registry services team.  I have had many opportunities to work with the marketing department throughout the year and look forward to working with our youth and supporting this organization."
Life Looks Different with an Arabian Horse
Life looks different with an #ArabianHorse! Do you have any photos or videos like this one, with you doing your preferred discipline or activity with your favorite Arabian horse? Send your videos (file format .mov) or pictures (file format .jpeg) to us and you could see your picture featured in new AHA advertising and promotional materials.

We want all sorts of photos from horseback, from the perspective of a halter handler, from center ring or just up close and personal with your horse. All pictures or videos must be taken from the perspective of the rider or handler! The photo displayed above is an example of the types of photos and videos needed.

***By submitting your photos or videos, you are giving AHA the right to utilize them in AHA online and printed promotional material.

Regional Youth Team Tournament

As this year concludes, so does the annual Regional Youth Team Tournament, but lucky for you we've already started the 2015 RYTT!

For just $10.00, you and your team of 6 people or fewer, can earn points and win prizes by doing things you already love: showing and riding your horse!  Points, earned from both recognized and non-recognized shows and rides, lead to great year-end awards for the high scoring team in each region. In addition to these awards, regional winners are posted on the AHA youth webpage and in Modern Arabian Horse magazine. Contact your RYTT Secretary and get a team together today!
