AHYA and AHA are very excited to have a new team member, Nedra Johnson. She is the new Youth & Family Program Coordinator! Here is a little bit about Nedra: 

Born and raised in Southern California, Nedra has always been involved with Arabian horses. She began riding when she was five and fell in love with Arabians the day she rode a Half-Arabian mare named Starzara++++, when she was 12. She has continuously owned Arabians ever since. Her first job was at Ventura Farms, where she worked with some of the breeds most legendary horses. She later developed a successful, grassroots youth & Arabian horse program that gained a reputation for producing young riders that were versatile in many disciplines, earning awards locally and nationally. Her volunteer service to AHA has been longstanding, as she has been an active youth & board member on the local and region level for 20 years. She has also worked with a non-profit serving at-risk youth where she developed a successful Judging/ Hippology Team & Show Team implementing Arabian horses. She studied Business with an emphasis on Non-Profit Management combining her skills and passions to serve. Nedra brings with her a love of both children and Arabian horses, a tremendous attention to detail, and a warmth, and enthusiasm to all of her tasks here at AHA.

• Sunday, July 20: Parade of Regions with the theme, "Spotlight on the Stars," held at 6:00 p.m.
• Monday, July 21: Stick Horse Workshop & Contest from Noon- 3:00 p.m. with the contest being held at 6:30.
• Tuesday, July 22: Arabian Horse Hippology Contest from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
