AHYA Shadow Trailer
We have a winner!
Thank you to everyone who supported the 2013 AHYA Shadow Trailer Raffle. It was a record-breaking event for youth programs fundraising, with $27,600.00 raised. The winning ticket was drawn during the afternoon session at U.S. Nationals in Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013. The lucky ticket was number 169, purchased on location at the show by Julie Shick of Ortonville, MI. Congratulations to Julie!

Special thanks go out to Renee Pelzman, owner of Shadow Trailers of Florida, LLC, and sponsor of our 2013 AHYA Shadow Trailer Raffle. Her generous donation of the beautiful 2-horse, bumper-pull Shadow Pro Series Trailer is very much appreciated. If you would like to offer your thanks, as well, please send thank you notes to:

Shadow Trailers of Florida, LLC
Attn: Renee Pelzman
6785 West Highway 40
Ocala, FL 34482

The proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Arabian Horse Youth Association's numerous annual programs, including the AHYA Convention, Creative Contest, Regional Youth Team Tournament, National Arabian Horse Judging Contest, and more. The AHYA Board of Directors also voted in March 2013 to donate a portion of all fundraisers to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado; thus, a portion of the trailer raffle proceeds will be included in the annual AHYA donation to be made to Make-A-Wish Colorado in March 2014. Please direct questions about the raffle to youth@arabianhorses.org or (303) 696-4505.

Again, thank you to everyone who supported the youth association through this wonderful fundraiser and congratulations to our winner, Julie Shick!

TAIL a Smashing Success at U.S. Nationals!

Over 375 Girl Scouts and local families registered to attend our TAIL tour program at U.S. Nationals in Tulsa, Okla., last month. The feedback from leaders and parents has been overwhelmingly positive; they can't wait to come back next year. We're happy to share the testimonials below with all of you.

"My little girl scouts really, really enjoyed the TAIL tour on Sunday evening. The parents were so amazed at the opportunities presented through this tour that most girls normally wouldn't normally have. Thank you so much!"

"Thank you so much for fitting us in this evening. The girls had a great time and talked about it the whole way home. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!"

Finally, we offer our sincere thanks to all the volunteer guides and host barns who made TAIL at U.S. Nationals a possibility. You are all wonderful!
