Sshameless++ Honored as 2012 Ambassador

Ambassador Trophy AHA recently announced its 2012 Ambassador Award winner, Sshameless++ (Fame VF+ x Armira), owned by Lisa Shover of Scottsdale, Ariz. According to Shover, her stallion brings "the storybook legend of a beautiful white horse, representing all that is good," to life. Standing 16.0 hands, Sshameless is the epitome of a gentle giant with an incredible heart and a stellar show record.

Representing the longevity of Arabians, in 2010 at age 18, Sshameless took home two Reserve National Championships, one in Arabian Stallion Breeding and the other in Arabian Western Pleasure Select. His performance at U.S. Nationals, 15 years after he earned his first Reserve National halter Championship as a three-year-old, implies not only physical longevity, but a champion's heart.

Do You Have Pending Registrations?

Vesty Mare and foalIt's the end of the year and time to close pending registrations! There are several reasons your horse's registration may be pending and clearing it could mean something as simple as getting a signature.

As your registry, keeping registration records current and up-to-date is a responsibility we are committed to - let us help you complete your records and ours. Call Customer Service at (303) 696-4500 or email info.reg@arabianhorses.org for more information.

Attention Stallion Owners!

As the year closes it is time to submit record of the mares your stallion(s) have bred this year. Stallion reports are another tool AHA uses to implement our mission to keep accurate and current records - a responsibility integral to maintaining the integrity of the breed.

Use AHA stallion reports for your own records. List all the purebred and Half-Arabian mares you bred your stallion to in 2012. Sign the report and mail, email, or fax it to AHA by Dec. 31. There is no cost for current members to submit stallion reports by Dec. 31. Download a stallion report here. Call Customer Service at (303) 696-4500 or email info.reg@arabianhorses.org for more information.

The Only Way to Earn Allocated Prize Money
Sweeps
Remember the only way to now participate for Allocated Prize Money is to enter your foal in-utero as a Breeding Entry. If your mare was bred to a Sweepstakes Nominated Sire or your Nominated Dam was bred to a non-Arabian stallion, the in-utero foal is eligible to be enrolled as a Breeding Entry (see complete rules for eligibility). Classes now provide for potential earnings at all stages of the resulting foal's life.  December 31st is the deadline to enter at the $400 fee.  Please contact an AHA Representative for more information at (303) 696-4500 #4 or view the Sweepstakes Program online.
Courtesy Program Renewals

Watch your mailboxes. The courtesy program renewals have been mailed.  Billing for re-nominations/enrollments are sent to the owner of record each year. It is the responsibility of the owner to re-nominate their horses prior to the stated deadlines in the event the owner does not receive the renomination notice for any reason.

Resolution 1-11: Redefining Age Limit for Youth

Resolution 1-11 (which changes the age definition for Youth from 17 years of age to 18) is now in affect starting with the 2013 show season.  If you were age 18 as of December 1, 2012, you may continue to compete as a youth exhibitor!
