DID YOU KNOW. . .
#1 . . . NELLCO will host a reception and informational meeting at the 110th Annual Meeting of AALS 2016?
SAVE THE DATE!
Please plan to bring your colleagues (members and non-members are welcome!)  and join us for a glass of wine and a nosh before dinner on Fri. Jan. 8th from 5:30-7:00 pm. We'll be in Nassau East, on the 2nd Floor in the New York Hilton Midtown. We'll give an update on NELLCO projects and membership, and answer any questions you may have.

Feel free to just drop in, but if you know you're coming please RSVP  so we can plan accordingly.

#2 . . . Dates for the NELLCO Symposium 2016 have been set?
MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
It's true! The 2016 NELLCO Symposium will be March 14-15, 2016 in Albany at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center. The Desmond is the perfect setting for our group and comfortable chairs are guaranteed!

The theme this year is Radical Collaboration,  and we are thrilled to have John F. Helmer, Executive Director of the Orbis-Cascade Alliance, as our Plenary Speaker. John has been leading the Alliance since its formation in 2003, and was the Executive Director of the Orbis Consortium from 1999-2003. In his role, John has championed many deep collaborations, including most recently the ambitious launch of a shared ILS system across 37 member libraries, including a few law libraries in the mix.

John will be retiring in Spring 2016, but has generously agreed to come and share with us before he hands over the reigns to the Alliance's next leader. Please plan to come and learn from a master collaborator!
#3. . . NELLCO wants to customize your e-resource renewal experience?

We want to customize your renewal experience so that we can more closely meet the needs of your library. Each time e-resources are open for renewal, an e-mail notice goes out to members with instructions and deadlines. Follow up e-mails are sent at regular intervals if we haven't heard from you about one resource or another. We realize that staffing changes, people take sabbaticals, day-to-day demands take precedence. But on those occasions when members don't reply, we're left wondering how to respond to the vendors at renewal deadline. Should we assume you'll renew or assume you won't? Or should we contact someone else? Please take this one-question survey so that we can set your preferences and customize your renewals accordingly. Thank you for your help!
