#2 . . . NELLCO is interested in e-books, DDA and PDA?

No, not personal digital assistants or public displays of affection, Patron Driven Acquisition! NELLCO has begin a conversation with YBP (now owned by Proquest if you're keeping track) about a consortium PDA/DDA law e-book collection. This type of collaboration has been done by other consortia, including the Boston Library Consortium and the CTW Library Consortium in CT.

We want to know what you think! Please complete this survey to help us gather data about the current level of interest and activity in this area. It's just 4 quick questions and all responses are welcome.

#3. . . NELLCO was an exhibitor at the recent Chinese & American Forum in Legal Information and Law Libraries (CAFLL)?

The 4th bi-annual CAFLL meeting, co-sponsored by WESTPAC and hosted by the University of Hawaii School of Law Library, was held in Honolulu, HI from Oct. 8-10.  Law Library director Victoria Szymczak and her stellar staff welcomed a group of about 100 law librarians from across the U.S., Canada and China.

The CAFLL and WESTPAC leadership did an excellent job with the conference program content. The theme was Challenges, Competencies, Opportunities, and I was honored to be invited to speak about NELLCO's PALMPrint Project for Fri. morning's session entitled Challenges of the E-legal Information Age: Collection Development and Resource Sharing in Law Libraries. I was joined on the panel by Associate Dean and ASU Law Library Director Tory Trotta, and Director of the Law Library at Peking University School of Law, Zhihong Chen.
Mahalo again to all of those involved in making this CAFLL conference a great success!
